This is a sub-post to my other blog post titled: Ebay Purchases, rated. I thought it would benefit people to see what I bought online and if it is, in fact a good representation of the photos they show, in order to sell their product.
The ring on my finger. It’s really a glossy old color and very shiny like it showed online. Note: I got a size 6, but it happens to fit on my middle finger and ring finger comfortably (my ring finger is like 5.5 and my middle is about 7). What’s cute about this ring is that you can order a super small size and wear this ring in a very trendy way. On your next knuckle, up by the tips of your fingers.
Seller: jewelleryplaza
Item: Lady Party Ball Jewelry Simple Style 3-in-1Silver Gold GP Fashion Ring
Paid: $0.99 + $5.00 shipping. Worth the price? Yes
Location: China
Delivery: 16 business days from when I placed the order, to when it arrived.
My opinion: I don’t think I’ll wear the gold or silver rings on their own but the ‘rose gold’ one is pretty on its own. Also, stacked how I have it is also my favorite way to wear the rings.

Seller: Tatame77 on Ebay
Item: Pink/White Korea Ladies Womens Chiffon Top Blouse
Paid: $13.26 + $2.99 shipping. Worth the price? Yes
Location: Hong Kong
Delivery: 6 business days from when I placed the order, to when it arrived.
My opinion: Holy moses. The fastest shipping ever from Hong Kong. Six business days. The top was really pretty online, a nice peachy pink sort of color. Very faint. In person it’s more of a true baby pink. Though, it is quite nice and you can see how it fits on me, above. I don’t know if I’d purchase this in a store if I saw it on a hanger. I wish it were more peachy like it was shown on the model.

Seller:Â Amazon.com
Item: Seychelles Women’s Time Will Tell T-Strap Sandal
Paid: $96.88 Worth the price? Yes
Location: USA
Delivery: 2 business days from when I placed the order, to when it arrived.
My opinion: These are way more comfier than I had imagined! I love Seychelle’s shoes, my flats from them have lasted years (purchased in 2006!), so I didn’t mind dropping the bills on these wedges.

I gave you a tour of what our bathroom looked like in the past, when we get ready for our visitors, but I didn’t exactly show you what it looks like during the off-season when we don’t have guests. I love for the bedroom to be a complete sanctuary, and I would like the bathroom to somewhat replicate it, and look dreamy, and spa-like. Not too difficult to achieve, right? It’s hard to know what to do, when you don’t know where to shop. So today I’m showing you a few unique pieces I found for our bathroom recently.
Considering we still rent, I don’t like to put too much on the walls (if any) so after a year our bathroom still has bare walls and I’m cool with that. I still think it pulls together fairly well, what do you think?
After posting this picture on Instagram over the weekend, so many people were itching to know where the white dome-shaped tissue holder came from. It was a random eBay find for less than $7! You can buy it here. Please buy one for every family member. They come in a couple of different colours, and ugh — it’s kinda perfect. It arrived in 10 business days. I bought a few more things from eBay but you’ll have to wait until my next round of rated eBay purchases goes live.
If you’re wondering why there is only one toothbrush on the shelf, it’s because my husband and I are lucky enough to have two bathrooms! He uses the other one, and I get this one all to myself. The green thing to the right is a package of mints that I bought from REI of all places. Hello toothpaste is a new-to-me product that I’m currently trying out. I reached out to them and asked if I could try out their products and it arrived yesterday with 2 packages of toothpaste (one being peach mango mint, funny hey?), two breath sprays and a toothbrush. Then I have this white ceramic square tray I picked up from World Market for $1.99Â and with a 20% discount too! I’m a bargain hunter at heart, I tell you. It was way cheaper than buying it for $13.99 at Muji, and I mean – it looked just like a plate to me. So I wasn’t about to pay that price (some of their stuff is over priced, but many of their products are reasonable). Â Muji is a fantastic store by the way if you like organizing. It’s similar to ikea but nicer! Both the donut shaped item holding my clear toothbrush are from Muji, and finally a travel sized aesop hand cream that smells phenomenal.
Alright back to Hello products for a quick minute. I wanted to try them out since I knew they were naturally friendly and free of artificial colours. If I were to repurchase anything from this line, it would be the toothpaste.
Seriously, their packaging is adorable. This is the breath spray, and it’s just okay. You get the initial peppermint in the mouth, but if you’re looking for a strong zesty fresh feeling you’ll have to look elsewhere. I love SUPER minty but those can actually harm your teeth. These dental products are all natural and much safer for your oral hygiene.
Ranunculus flower, you are officially in my bad books. I loved the smell and look of these flowers at first, they looked like mini peonies. But these suckers wilted after three days and I had to trim them down to fit in this mini water glass because they were drooping over my vase. Sad times. On another note, does anyone keep their fancy looking hand soaps out and refill them with other cheaper soap? I bought this gardenia and white tea scented soap a while ago at TJ Maxx, but it’s been long gone, so I refill it with other liquid soap from the grocery store. Still looks fancy. Success.
Who knew a tissue holder could be so snazzy looking? So glad I found it. You can also use it for toilet paper too.
Side note, it is so hard to photograph this bathroom without me being in it. This is one of the pictures I decided not to photoshop myself out of. :)
If you’re in San Francisco tomorrow, pop by Union Square from 11am — 4pm. Hello products will be there and you can have a chance to try their new products, peach mango mint, mojito mint, supermint and pink grapefruit mint. They’ll also be giving away friendly goodies and giving you a chance to win a $100 gift card to Target.
When is the last time you redecorated a room in your house?
Have you tried Hello products before?
What’s your favourite flower?
How often do you replace your toothbrush?Â

Happy New Year everyone!
The boyf and I got back from Newfoundland this morning, on a 5am flight. Needless to say, there wasn’t much NYE festivities happening around our parts! In fact, I went to bed in Newfoundland at around 11pm so I could get a bit of shut eye. Man. I’m getting old. At least I took tomorrow off as another vacation day, so I can catch up on a few things before heading back to work on Thursday.
Last year I did a 2011 year in review, and I thought I’d keep the tradition going this year. I blogged at least 24 times a month during 2012. 42 being the most in one month!
January
I had an unforgettable time in Newfoundland during Christmas last year. Sliding with just a sprinkle of snow? No problem! Ancy Nancy got it covered. :)

There was also a blogger meet-up that Morgan organized in Toronto!
Ah, the hunt for a leather jacket has ended. I finally found one I love, and it’s not even real leather. Saves me the dollars!

April
I blogged about my eBay finds. I’ll be doing this again soon, since I shop eBay all year round. I stopped posting my reviews about my items mid-year because I was starting to grab some things for Christmas presents. Since I fly home a lot, I bring whatever I have purchased throughout the year so my suitcase in December isn’t over burdened.
Vegan treats and sleeping at IKEA. What!?
I’ve got some Molly Shannon moves. I showed them off at Girls Night. You jealous yet?
I spent Easter up in Barrie with relatives I haven’t seen in 15 years. I also got lost on the way and ended up on a Military Base.
Girls Night Out. Always a fun time with these two ladies.

November
For Halloween I dressed up like a nerd at work. Apparently this is a good look for me, a perfect fit shall we say? Everyone said it suited me. I don’t know whether or not to be offended ;)
I started the 50 day push up challenge on November 1, to build up my shoulder strength.

I started running with a coach in November!

December
I completed the 50 day push up challenge!
Went to Newfoundland for Christmas (and got back today). Said my GoodBye’s to my little nephews yesterday… :(
For Christmas I gave my Boyfriend a trip to Quebec City. We’re going in February!
The boyf also got me a pretty unexpected gift. A way better camera than my point-and-shoot canon! I’m so excited to learn more about this one!
Got my parents a pretty well-deserving, special gift — with huge thanks to my neighbours organizing it with me, a trip to Florida with tons of spending money. Eee! My parents both cried. I never see them cry, so it was touching to see them so happy, opening the gifts. I was the one who gave the money, and my neighbour planned the flights and accommodations. I had to think of a clever way to give them the dolla bills instead of just saying “here’s some cash for you to spend”. So I went out and got a wallet for my Mom(from eBay actually) and filled it up with American $50 bills. Put it in a box and voila. But for my Dad to open something too, I taped a bunch of bills together and stuffed them into an old tissue box and had one $50 poking through; so when he pulled it — all the others kept coming out too. Like a never ending pot of gold.
