OOTWW. Fun, Fit, Fashionable

Summer should get a speeding ticket. Right? I started wearing layers this week and last weekend! Yikes!

Here’s what I wore to work this week:

I swear Monday’s outfit looked fine in person, it was just the I’m-tired-and-don’t-want-to-snap-photos-stance. The outfit was off balance since I was wearing skinny pants and decided not to pair it with a larger top. I don’t think I woke up on Monday, until the mid-afternoon.

Tomorrow I’m supposed to go to a FootBall game at the local University. The Boyf and I are heading to Nuite Blanche and to run errands in Toronto instead! Much more fun :)

But what’s this new blog post title? A new feature I’ve decided to add to my website! I’m forever asked to share some of the blogs that I read, and I think doing weekly posts of some Fit and Fashionable people is much more fun. So hopefully you too, will find some great new blogs to read from these weekly posts that will now go live on Friday’s.

Hence the #TripleFFriday: Fun, Fit, Fashionable in the blog post title. It stemmed from my friend Meg from A Dash of Meg’s High Five Friday posts. I loved the idea, so I thought I’d do something similar. They say copying is a sincere form of flattery. :)

So since I’ve been inspired by Meg, I thought it would be just fitting (ah love the play on words?) to start with her! Let’s get to it:

Meg from A Dash Of Meg features her thirty-third (!!!) High Five Friday today :)

Courtney tests out the ‘best tank top to work out in’, last Saturday!

Shannon looks great modeling her Fire Daughter tanks from Etsy. Look at her pipes! Shannon says the Fire Daughter tanks are flattering, comfy and have empowering messages.  (Hey I have some of the clothing too!)

Coach Scott from StoneWay CrossFit wrote a post this week on “3 Step Solution to Change

Teri from A Foodie Stays Fit sports her new hair cut. I always love her hair styles, she’s forever changing it up!

I also wanted to feature Laura from Buy Now Blog Later, I always love her style and her blog posts – she’s living in Dubai right now, but is from London England!

Submit yourself to my weekly Fun, Fit, Fashionable posts. You can certainly submit your own, next week. Just shoot me an e-mail to spiffykerms@gmail.com. Just include any of the following:

The explorer family

Remember when I told you about L McMomsie’s 5 year wedding anniversary? How her and her husband both got each other Fossil presents? Well, L’s birthday was shortly after their anniversary and she had absolutely no idea what she was getting when she opened up her presents from her bestie.

MORE. FOSSIL. THINGS. I can’t even make this shiz up anymore.

I’m telling you. She has way more Fossil items than I do now! I’m tres-jealous. That’s all the french I know. Besides bonjour.L’s friend had surprised her with a Fossil Explorer cross-body purse in this super flattering color. Almost like a Robin’s Egg blue but with a touch of mint and a whole lotta buttery-softness. Bam. Like I do with every purse my friends show me, I grabbed it and tried it on and did a few twirls, patted the purse down to feel the leather (because Fossil leather’s are crazy soft) , and hesitantly gave it back to her ;)

Here is L on her birthday modeling the purse for me. What a great bestie she has. Her outfit goes well with the purse, don’t you think?!

L pointed out that the inside straps on the purse are fabric, (see last image, on upper right hand side) and the outer is leather. It makes the movement and flow easy, instead of getting “stuck” while manourving if it were made of leather.

My co-workers and I now have the almost the entire Explorer purse collection by Fossil. Hilarious right? Check all them hanging out together in my office. They’re besties now.

Again. I swear it’s not a sponsored post. I just think it’s great that everyone I work with loves Fossil as much as I do!

Sock bun tutorial

Dude. You guys.

I mastered the sock bun. I’ve seen it on YouTube for the past year or so, and I’ve just never tried it because I thought I didn’t have enough hair to cover the bun, or that it wouldn’t work in my hair. Don’t be fooled. You can do it too.

Boy oh boy! It looks great and I’ve been wearing it like this a few times per week. It’s so easy, and it’s so put together.

I ended up filming a tutorial on how to do it. It’s just three minutes long, and it’s mostly me rambling on. It’s honestly really quick. See?

(If you cannot see the video, click here to view it on YouTube)

I was even feeling so daring that evening, when I first learned how to do it — that I started playing with other styles. I tried french braiding my hair and it was really difficult because my hair is silky (jealous? lol) and hard to work with. Maybe I need second-day hair and a little more texture in order to keep my hair in place.

A lil’ grease won’t hurt, if ya know what I mean.

Are you adventurous with your hair? I rarely do any changes to mine. Pony tail, or straight down. But now I’ve got options, ha!
