July 5. Monday — Ran 4.41k in 25:30
July 8. Thursday — 1hr Spin, Ran 1 mile, then ran (again) outside for 5k!

July 11. Sunday
— Played soccer
July 12. Monday — Ran 5k with my running buddy
July 13. Tuesday — Ran 7k on trails
July 16. Friday — Co-ed Soccer
July 18. Sunday — Played soccer and hurt my leg

July 27. Tuesday — Got back on the trails and ran for 2.5k then QUIT. I ended up leaving the forest and finding my way back to the car which probably ended up in a 7k run regardless.
July 29. Thursday — Ran a slow (38 minute) 6.5k with the running group. Definitely what I needed to get me back into it.
July 30. Friday — Ran 6k in 35:49 with the boyf.

Okay, so all I did was basically run all July. I stopped for a good bit to let my leg rest. But other than that, I think I’m doing pretty well!

OOTWW

None of these outfits really stuck out at me this week. I wasn’t feeling it this Sunday maybe it’s because I’m not wearing eye makeup at all this week. Trying to go minimal as possible for no real reason.

Closeup of my spiffy Wednesday’s bangles. I never wear bangles so this was fun! I picked them up at H&M the other day.

Sometimes I don’t try on my clothes before I pick them out on Sunday’s for the work week. On Wednesday I woke up later than usual, my outfit wasn’t looking great (wrinkled pants, the top I had picked out was too short for the pants), so I had to sneak in and out of the dark bedroom while the Boyf was sleeping and pick out a whole new outfit. I also have been meaning to bring 3 or 4 pairs of pants to get tailored — Wednesday’s pair, being one of them. I bought them at Mexx this year when they were having their winter sale and they ended up being 75% off so I went a little wild in the store. They’re too big in the knees and I don’t know where else, but I know I don’t like the shape of them on me just yet. I have my Italian tailor already picked out, I just need to go.

Car maintenance

If you follow me on Twitter, you know that yesterday I went to get my first oil change on my car. It was a long process, and I didn’t know whether they were taking their sweet time, or if they were busy. The last time I had my car in for maintenance was when I was checking it all out at Mazda before my Warranty was up.

At first I said:

Because it’s true. The owner knows my name, and car. Same with the young guy who I think hits on every young woman he sees. But that’s neither here nor there.

After sitting there for more than 25 minutes I started getting impatient. Shouldn’t this take only 15 minutes? What are they doing?

They quoted me for $38-$44 for the oil change and filter. Except…

Yeah. Expensive is it not? They did do a thorough job and check all the fluids in my car and even the timing belt and mentioned that I should replace the transmission fluid before 60,000km’s. Which will end up costing me $225. Uhhh. I think I’ll price around, before I go ahead with this guy because that seems awfully high. Knock on wood so far, everything seems to be running and working properly. Unlike my parents previous car which was such a lemon.

Maintaining a car > Fixing a car = expensive. Boy oh boy, but is it ever worth it.
