September 3. Friday — Does walking around the West Edmonton Mall for 7.5 hours count?
September 4. Saturday — Hiked near Mount Edith Cavell in Jasper
September 5. Sunday — Hiked in Jasper

September 10. Sunday — Played Soccer. Last outdoor game of the season
September 13. Monday — Ran 5k in 29 min!
September 14. Tuesday — Ran 7.5k in 36 min and then ended up doing a half hour of Power Yoga!

September 20. Monday — Ran 9k in 57 min! (link to recap on Sept 21)
September 21. Tuesday — Pulmonary Function test, exciting!!
September 22. Wednesday —  Ran a 4k loop to train for race.

I’m going to pick it up in October and run more than just a few times in the whole month. Geezsh.

August fitness

Re-cap of 2010 fitness here.

It slipped my mind that I haven’t done a monthly fitness post last month. So here’s what it consisted of in August. Not much!

August 3. Tuesday — Ran 8k on the trails
August 5. Thursday — Ran 7k (had some troubles)
August 8. Sunday — Played Soccer
August 10 Tuesday — Ran 5k on the trails
August 12. Thursday — Ran 7k
August 15. Sunday — Played Soccer
August 16. Monday — Ran 3-4k
August 20. Friday — Ran 6k w/ Boyfriend (36 mins)
August 22. Sunday — Played Soccer
August 29. Sunday — IRONMAN CANADA (I did actually end up walking 16k this day to our hotel and back… failing to realize how far it actually was).

Complete active August fail on my part. Breathing issues,  and not being motivated because of it. I will own September, just you watch. There are some races coming up this month, and I want to do them!! I need to remember to do short speedy workouts, and long runs. Not every run has to be a personal record. Not every run needs to be fast. Not every run has to be perfect. I need to remember this quote that I posted:

Running machine: July

We are POWERHOUSES!

Re-cap of 2010 fitness here.

July 1. Thursday — Ran 5k + 1½k run with Alfie
July 2. Friday — Ran 4.41k in 24:47! (First run by myself)
July 5. Monday — Ran 4.41k in 25:30
July 8. Thursday — 1hr Spin, Ran 1 mile, then ran (again) outside for 5k!
July 10. Saturday — Walked 6k with Alfie, then ran 6k


July 11. Sunday
— Played soccer
July 12. Monday — Ran 5k with my running buddy
July 13. Tuesday — Ran 7k on trails
July 16. Friday — Co-ed Soccer
July 18. Sunday — Played soccer and hurt my leg

July 27. Tuesday — Got back on the trails and ran for 2.5k then QUIT. I ended up leaving the forest and finding my way back to the car which probably ended up in a 7k run regardless.
July 29. Thursday — Ran a slow (38 minute) 6.5k with the running group. Definitely what I needed to get me back into it.
July 30. Friday — Ran 6k in 35:49 with the boyf.

Okay, so all I did was basically run all July. I stopped for a good bit to let my leg rest. But other than that, I think I’m doing pretty well!
