OOTWW

Ah! My favorite post of the week.

Since I was hardly at work last week, and my OOTWW was pitiful, I decided to include 1 weekend OOTD which was last Sunday!

I didn’t realize how bulky my sweater today looks. Oh well, it’s comfortable. That’s all that matters to me, at work anyway lol

This weekend will be super fun, as we’re going to be heading to a different city to do a bit of shopping. Perhaps Christmas shopping, but I definitely have a few stores picked out that I can’t wait to visit again. When stores are inaccessible to you, they seem so much… better. Know what I mean? For instance, I love Sephora and all, but now that the store is in a 10 minute driving distance from my work, I don’t feel the need to go in there until I need something. Or unless they’re having a sale/VIB deal.

I also have to pick up a memory box for someone who is retiring off the Board of Directors and we usually get the plaques engraved with their name. So, that’s my duty! The boss handed over the baton for me to take care of our Annual General Meeting. Exciting, but a little scary!

What is everyone up to this weekend?

iPod Nano recall

I first heard about this two days ago on the news.

First generation ipod nano’s have been recalled. First generation being between September 2005 — December 2006 (I think). Easiest way to tell if you have a first gen like myself, is that the front of your nano is plastic, not metal. I got mine for my birthday in 2006. They’re recalling the product after 5 years because there has been issues with the battery overheating and burning people in some circumstances.

So, go dig up your old nano and fill out an Apple Support request. They e-mailed me back within 48 hours.

From what I’ve read on Cnet, they’re replacing the first generation nano’s with another first gen nano with a new battery.

I don’t use my iPod that often, the battery never did last me that long when I went out on runs. But I’m not about to turn down a new battery! Can you believe that I haven’t added/deleted any of my music since I originally put it on my nano back in 2006? Oops!

Christmas gift basket – for a good cause!

Why hello there…

I have a special blog post for you all today. Something I always look forward to receiving.

This is my third Gourmet Gift Basket (see one and two) that I have gotten to review on my blog. If you remember last December I reviewed a Gourmet Gift Basket that was full of great treats. Well, a few months ago I was contacted again by the company and I decided to stick to what I knew I enjoyed and loved last time, which is the Christmas Gift Basket Classic.

It retails for $59.99. I’m diggin in!

MY FAVORITE. Their chocolate chip pecan cookies. These are the first to go in our household.

Tons of chocolate goodies. Every girl’s dream.Chocolate, popcorn, peanut crunch? All, to die for. That’s my crazy face for Let’s dig in now! No more photos!

Hey, what? Alfie! What are you doing in there? Guess he wants some of our Gourmet Gift Basket as well. Ha! Too bad, not dog friendly.

Unfortunately, I do not have a giveaway to offer my readers this time. However, if you would like to take part and give a donation to the Military (no purchase necessary! Just a blog post!).  All you have to do is review the selection of these Christmas Gifts on your own blog. The topic of the blog post should discuss their Christmas gift selection and how great of a gift it would be for someone. For every blog post written about the Christmas Gift selection — Gourmet Gift Basket will donate two care packages to the Military on your behalf.

Please note that the Military Donation blog posts should be posted between November 21 — December 9.

Leave it in the comments below to let me know if you have written a blog entry on the baskets. Then I can forward it back to my contact person at Gourmet Gift baskets by December 14 so he can make sure that all the care packages being donated can reach the soldiers in time for Christmas.

Doesn’t that just warm your heart? I hope you end up participating! :)
