Ash Wednesday

I did my boot camp class last night, and I’m having a Dark Chocolate granola bar for breakfast. That’s not too bad, right? After working out since December, I actually don’t crave a lot of junk, and my skin isn’t as splotchy. I must be doing something right.

Did anyone end up making pancakes last night for supper? It was pancake night, after all. I ended up doubling my recipe and used whole wheat flour. They turned out flat and not so great. I thought 3rd time was the charm? I suppose not, after doing something wrong but I don’t know what. We ate them, and I was so full after 6 and a half pancakes later. Uuuuuhg. I just wish they were fluffier like last time. I wonder what happened. Maybe during the doubling of the recipe I forgot to double something like baking powder. I don’t know.

Saaaaaaaad dayyyyy.

    Try using less water for a fluffier pancake. Also, you might try subbing club soda or seltzer water for the water.

    The recipe I used it here, and it didn’t use water at all. Perhaps too much milk? http://www.spiffykerms.com/recipes/pancakes/
