Mellow May

Look back on my January, February, March and April accomplishments at the gym. Going to the gym 4x/week for EVERY week in April was really difficult. So in May I mellowed out and if I didn’t feel like going. I probably didn’t, and I didn’t feel one ounce of guilt. Why should I, right? I’m still working out when I can and when I feel like it — it’s so great!! YEAH!!

May 2 – 8:
Tues:
Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00), we ended up doing a trail run for 5.69km’s and I felt strong! Breathing was good!
Thurs: Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00), two hills and 4.2k later. I die. I blogged about how tough I felt it was towards the end.
Fri: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

May 9 – 15:
Tues: Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00). It was rainy and cold out so a lot of people didn’t end up showing up to the class. Me and another woman did and the instructor popped on the treadmills with us to do an intense speed workout. I felt like death while doing it. 6 minutes on, 1 minute off. We ended up doing about 5k.
Thurs: Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00). I always find it hard coming back around on the second loop and never get my second wind. Thankfully the girl I run with is the opposite of me and gives’er at the turn around. Motivation is awesome!

May 16 – 22:
Sun: First soccer game of the season. I didn’t feel tired. Must be all of the running I’ve been doing. YAY!!
Tues:
Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00). I don’t remember this run lol
Thurs:
Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00). 7 minutes of running and 1 minute of walking. It was sweltering out this day, but we felt good on the run!

May 23 – 29:
Mon: 2pm soccer game. I ended up missing the first half and gave it my all during second half. It’s too bad, because I ended up pulling my groin muscle. Taking it easy this week….
Tues:
Had to skip the Learn to Run program, and let my stupid groin heal. (No need for joint supplements!)
Thurs:
Learn to Run (5:00 – 6:00).It was a hot one outside this day so we did 4.5 or 5km’s and we timed it 4 minutes on, 30 seconds off. It was awesome!
Sat:
Learn to Run (8:30am – 9:30am) First time I did a Saturday morning run. I literally felt like I was going to vom at the end of it when she told me to sprint (because I think I have some sort of mental block where I want to stop when I see the finish line! LOL. We ended up running 6kms!

I don’t feel as if I did much this month. I think I’m going to have to start getting back into the indoor classes again!!

Bras in Canada?

I would LOVE to plan a trip to the States (and I think I very well have plans to, with a co-worker!) to do a bit of shopping. Stores like Target, Victoria Secret, Anthropologie (Which I know is in Canada, but still) — my wallet will kill me and my wardrobe would love me.

Instead, I’m stuck browsing La Senza’s website and eying the wonderful different colors that come in my favorite bra. But of course they’re not all in the store. I think the only shades that are in the La Senza that I go to are nude, black, and a few colored shades. I want them ALL.

The itec push up has been my favorite bra for a number of years. They recently (or maybe I just haven’t been there in a while) came out with this design – and I bought them in black and nude (I even have a purple, in an older edition). They’re SO nice, and super comfortable. These are especially cute because they have printed designs on the inside of the bra. I think my nude one is leopard and the black is also leopard or zebra. I forget.

Whenever I find something that works for me, I buy in multiples. Especially when it comes to bras.

In December Victoria Secret PINK came to Canada and conveniently in the same mall that I frequent. I found  when I walked in, that it’s sort of geared towards the younger ladies (because you all know I’m old now), but that didn’t stop me from picking up some microfiber undies! I love not having panty-lines when I wear clothes. I don’t buy from there often, mainly because I like to get insane deals with Aerie has their underwear on sale for like a buck. Honestly. I stocked up good.

Now, off to watch the Boyf play ps3! Yea, I’m awesome.
