Unexpected delays

So I didn’t get to meet up with my bestie, Jenna in Toronto today. It just didn’t work out :( At least I made something of the day and ended up doing a bunch of errands to make up for it.

I also decided to wrap Jenna’s Christmas present and get it ready to mail out in the post since I didn’t get a chance to see her in person. Here is a sneak peak for you Jenna!! hee hee! Obviously I’m going to have it put on an envelope so she can at least unwrap the envelope and put this present under her tree. I plan on wrapping all my gifts in brown paper this year, with colorful ribbon.

Since I was craving sweets, I decided to go ahead and make my Mom’s famous Jube-Jube/Gumdrop cake. It sounds gross, but I promise you it’s delicious. I just literally put it in hte oven not even 4 minutes ago, and I totally forgot to spray the pan with non-stick stuff. Hopefully it doens’t come out in blobs :/ It takes an hour to an hour and a half to cook it. Isn’t that insane?

Stay tuned for photos of my yummy cake! My boyfriend isn’t nearly as excited as I am about this. In fact, he’s not a candy person at all, so it looks like I’ll be either eating this on my own or bringing it into my co-workers on Monday to share.

jeans-and-teeJust doing an outfit of the day! Check it out — I’m wearing my Rimmel London foundation (which I will review when I get a chance!). Looks pretty flawless huh? That’s it, it’s officially my backup makeup when I don’t want to drop my dollars on MAC. Can’t go wrong with $7 foundation that will last, well I don’t know how long it’ll last because I’ve only been using it a few weeks and gives me the exact same coverage if not more, than the liquid skin finish. Ahh, skin perfection if I do say so myself.

That’s basically it. I’m bombin around the apartment with my comfy down filled slippers and takin’er easy today. Preeeeeeeeetyy exciting! You envy me, right? I may think of going to Toronto this afternoon. My BFF is there for the weekend and it’s about an hour away for me (6 hours for her, as she lives in Ottawa). YAY! We’ll see though, after the BF wakes up ;)

Etsy is the best

What can I say? I’m definitely addicted to Etsy’s online shopping. Avoiding crowds in locals malls is what I do best. There are three people on my Christmas list who are incredibly difficult to buy for, as they’re what I like to call “techy”, and they know what they want — so they buy it when they want. Leaving no room for loved ones to get them things for Christmas. My Mom, my Boyfriend, and my Boss! I have picked out these fingerless gloves for my boss, along with some other mini gifts. I hope she likes it, she’s a smoker so she’ll get much use out of these I think haha!

It’s made in Athens Greece. Isn’t that the neatest? I hope it arrives before Christmas, anyway :/
