Nasal voice

starbucks-02So I’m back at work and my body feels completely awake. My sinus’ are doing much better, but my head feels full — full of what I’m not exactly sure. I decided to whip out some trusty Starbucks Peppermint Hot Chocolate that I received from my Boyfriend’s sister for Christmas, and boy it tasted divine. I’d like some more, please. Maybe I’ll go get some during lunch hour with the gift certificate that I won from Jeanine. Or is that only a seasonal flavor? Either way, the hazelnut latte sounds pretty fan-tabulous right now too. Actually, any caffeine does at this point.

Want to see mister trouble-kins? Since I haven’t posted any of him in a while here’s three cute photos of Alfie while I was home with him on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Adorbs, right? They’re tiny thumbnail view, so you can click to enlarge them.

When I was off ill the past few days, I received a package (in purple) from Lululemon that I ordered online the other day. Maybe I’ll take a few pictures later and review it once I get to wear it to a fitness class (since I’m a total gimp at the gym and need to be told what to do! LOL).

Oh hey guys and gals — don’t forget to enter my Smashbox contest as it ends tomorrow afternoon.

Moving on up.

After I pay off my car, I need something else to save for. I like that about my personality – I’m an aggressive money saver or pay-off’er. I have decided that I will save for a down payment on a home. The boyf and I have been talking and we think that’s the best option. However, we still don’t know where we’re going to live. Right now we’re in Southern Ontario, and we almost want to pack up and move to Northern Ontario where all of our friends are.  I’m basically up for anything, as right now we have been living here for close to five years and still haven’t made any close friends.

I already have a few things picked out in a home that are sort of must-haves. I desperately want a dishwasher. It would be very nice to have two sinks in the bathroom, and I want a fireplace. Scott’s must-have’s are a two car garage! I swear, we have million dollar taste. None of us really requires that we get Undermount Granite Sinks, thankfully. I bet those are expensive!

What are your must-have’s in a home?

Question…

How often are you supposed to get your eyes checked? For as long as I can remember I always wanted to wear eyeglasses just like my Dad. Over the years my brother and mother ended up having to get glasses to. How true is it, that if you eat all your carrots on your plate that your eyes will grow stronger? I was always a naive kid, and still am – you can pull the wool over my eyes so fast and I’m like “Where’d you go?”.

I have always loved carrots, and wanted more and more on my plate. I don’t remember if my Brother or Mother always had additional carrots added to theirs. Maybe that’s why I have great vision? I don’t know where it came from. Certainly not genetics, because my parents have glasses. Right?

I don’t remember the last time I went to an eye doctor. I have a better range of sight than the 20/20 vision’ers (is that a word?). Apparently I can see 15/20, or maybe it’s 20/15. I don’t quite remember. But I do recall being disappointed that I didn’t get to scope out some new frames for my bad self.

Nobody should wish bad eyes on themselves, as I know glasses can get pretty pricey. But I came across a site called Zenni — check out more in this article as there is a review there, too. But that article was talking about how you can get quality eyeglasses for a LOW cost. I mean, there aren’t any middlemen, no retail overhead and they barely have an advertising budget – it’s all word of mouth. I know Cinda (a girl I know online, actually) who bought her frames from Zenni and they didn’t cost her a lot out of pocket.

Something to consider?
