Creme-de-la-creme

The cure to all my mani and pedi trips! The only reason I used to frequent my pedi-lady was I noticed that my feet and hands around the cuticle got really dry and just not pretty anymore.

While I was in Edmonton I picked up a Cuticle Oil pen, purchased for $12 at Sephora.

I grabbed this comment from the reviews section of the website, and it describes the pen perfectly.

My worry when I first bought this was that it would run oil all down my nail bed and be greasy, plus easy ear off my hands/nails within an hour or two of daily life (a hand wash here or there, just being exposed to the air). I was pleasantly surprised. You effectively “paint” a thicker conditioning serum directly onto the cuticle, and as long as you aren’t too aggressive about it, you can apply as little or as much as you want. If you want to be extra thorough, you can sort of rub the brush into the drier areas, or just go ahead and rub in with your fingers. It doesn’t feel greasy and feels pretty light, but also holds up to daily activity without necessarily drying out fast/wearing off.
Since I bought the cuticle pen, I have used it perhaps 4 or 5 times (so really once or twice a week, in reality) and I haven’t had to use it more often than that. My toes and fingers look and feel super soft, smooth and healthy.

My hands on the other hand still are scaley and dry looking. Now I need to go on the hunt to find a good moisturizer/oil that will stay on all day. The one that I have been using for years was the Neutrogena Hand Cream. It’s such a thick consistency that I rarely use it because it takes so long to rub in.

I’m definitely not looking forward to having dry feet during the winter. Just thinking about it makes me want to shiver, then soak in a nice bath. Time to pamper!

I think soon my readers are going to tell me to stop wearing cardigans all week long, just like I should go out and buy more skirts during the summer so I’d stop wearing those long bermuda shorts. Help me get dressed!

You also can’t really tell that the “skinny pants” i’m wearing on Wednesday and Friday are actually two diferent pairs. One’s charcoal (Wednesday) the other is black (today).

As I mentioned on Wednesday, the weeks are just flying by and I’m loving it. I went out and purchased a few things at the store called Smart Set, and ended up with 3 pairs of pants (two of them being “skinny pants”) and one camisole. I may return three items though, since I shouldn’t be shopping right after I got back from vacation.

Wednesday was a super fun day since I went out with a co-worker to one of the two local Universities here in the city where I work/live/play. It was fun to mingle with the athletics department who was hosting the open house. We know them for a few things since we do sponsorships for that one uni. I also checked out the local universities bouldering wall inside one of the buildings. I was lusting after it, and wanted to go home to grab my climbing shoes and get out with them and BOULDER. Alas, I am not staff, alumni, nor a student – I am just a community member. Maybe if I get a hold of one of the athletics department main head-honcho that we deal with, he can swing a dealiooo… I miss climbing.

Thursday’s pants are annoyingly too big. I hate how they look on my thighs. HUGE. I need to get these to a tailor, A-SAP.

Anyway! Happy Friday! Too bad today isn’t payday, it’d be a better Friday in my books. What are everyone’s plans for this weekend? I desperately need to do laundry. Can you believe I’m running out of undies? Who lets that happen? I have so many pairs of those things, that I have never ran out … ever! Time for this lazy butt (ha, pardon the BUM I mean PUN) to get off her arse (HAHAHAHA) and do some laundry. Now, off to go clip some coupons to use for getting deals this weekend — AND get a hair cut! I LOVE getting pampered. Catcha later!

Oh it’s just a rental…

Ever since I spotted the Lamborghini in the West Edmonton Mall, I’ve been a little intrigued to say the least. Just looking up the prices of expensive cars like Maserati’s and Aston Martin’s made a few teeth fall out of my head from my jaw dropping.

What I find interesting about the Lamborghini’s is their fancy doors that are vertical, and look like something out of a comic book movie. Imagine being that well off, that you could just purchase (omg or even RENT) a luxury vehicle at that cost. Couldn’t even imagine what the bathrooms let alone their homes look like. Probably the size of our whole apartment plus some more. I love bathrooms and kitchens by the way — doesn’t everyone?

Notice how Lambo rhymes with Rambo. Does Sylvester Stallone own a Lamborghini? Those are the only type of people I think would be able to afford one, and not even drive it that often because, really when would you have the chance to drive a pricey thing like that? Summer’s are such a rarity (okay not really. Let’s just pretend they are) in Canada and even then we have monsoons thunder storms and occasional pot holes in the ground. I’d tell you what I’d do with a car like that. Take it to a safe track and have a blast. Not an explosion blast, just a blast as in fun.

I’m not even close to comparing the two cars though. But when the Boyf and I went to test drive a BMW last year, the salesmen asked if he could take us out once before we actually drove it ourselves. To show us how the car handled the road, and how fast yet safe it was. I gotta tell ya something here folks. I was seriously giggling like a school girl in the back of the bimmer, sliding from side to side — it was like an amusement ride. IMAGINE IT BEING 100X BETTER — IN A LAMBORGHINI. Someone take me for a spin!!!

(Wahoooo ma, look – no eyes on the road!) Vrrrooom.

Acting like this? I’m pretty sure the dealership if they know I drive like a crazy lady, probably wouldn’t let me take one out even if I had a million bucks to spend.  Know anyone who drives one? Ha!!
