OOTWW

ootwwHello all! What does everyone have planned for the long weekend?

Last night I went climbing again with some bud’s. Ended up doing top rope again for the first time in a year or so. I’ve been bouldering the last few weeks and finally strapped on my harness and did some 5.10’s!climb 2

I was pretty happy about that. In just a few more weeks, I’ll be tearing down the 11’s! hee hee.

I have today off work, due to it being Good Friday. I slept in until 11am or so, then made myself some eggs (two, to be exact) and that gave me the burst of energy I needed. I ended up cleaning out our fridge which didn’t take as long as I had thought it would, surprisingly.clean fridge

All spic ‘n span now. Love opening it up and seeing everything so freshly organized. I think we have enough margarine to do us until 2014, don’t you think? Also looks like we’re well stocked on the vitaminwater. I’d like to tackle the porch now, but I kind of want to sit down and watch movies on netflix.

I also want to test out these bright neon kicks this weekend, since it’s pretty sunny and not much snow on the ground anymore.Saucony Virrata Perfect time to go for a run (first time since January) don’t you think? Omg, I can’t get over how bright they are you guys. They’re the Saucony Virrata’s.

What are your plans for Easter?

Low carb into paleo

It’s been a half-arsed kind of day. I slept in but as soon as I woke up I was running full tilt non-stop. First up I made a big breakfast for the Boyfriend and I. More like a brunch due to the time it was served. steel cut oats

Then we were still hungry so Boyf made some steel cut oats for us which I topped off with Redpath organic agave nectar and frozen blueberries. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for the oats.

I’m trying to cut back on my sugar consumption as much as possible. Anyone who knows me, knows that I eat … well, not the best food in the entire world. McDonalds and candy being my two favorite things to devour. So, I’m starting to think I should take up the paleo 30 day challenge. Not only because I find that wheat may have an effect on my eczema, but also because I’m checking in with someone. I’m liable per say. If I’m challenged, I won’t want to fail. If I start it on my own and don’t tell anyone about it, I will sneak in a chocolate bar here, or a bag of skittles there.

I’m scared to be honest. I don’t want to be tired and cranky and go through sugar “withdrawals”. Because I’m scared, it makes me want to do it more, to see how well I do. Know what I mean?

It doesn’t start til next month and I’m starting to slowly not take in as much sugar, gluten and dairy. Ugh, it’s a pain in the butt let me tell you that much. So I’ve done a bit of research and even though it’s not paleo, it’s helpful: the low carb grocery store has some great recipes that look mouth watering. Not only that, those google plus albums I linked also shares store deals and have some great articles. Check it out if you’re looking for some low carb foods.

What has your Saturday night looked like thus far? I gave myself an at-home manicure with these Essie nail stickers which I think are terrible.nails

They’re thick and they don’t stay on as well as the Sally Hansen one’s I’ve used. But I also heard that Sally Hansen one’s dry out quicker than the Essie one’s. Good thing I didn’t spend any money on these Essie one’s since I got an offer in the mail, and they came with a few samples. Cute, but like putting masking tape on your finger nails. Ugh. Brutal. I’d go with the Sally Hansen ones if I were you.

Oh, aren’t these cute by the way? Owl trinket things I picked up from Michael’s craft store yesterday while on my lunch break. They were only a $1.50 each!owl trinkets

K, I’m out!

OOTWW & TFF #21

Grr. No one is budging on my boots. I’ve posted it on Facebook, Kijiji and also sent it to my co-workers.  I admit though, it’s not the time to be buying, or selling boots since it is almost spring.

Today flew by at work. Probably because my Boss and I went out for breakfast and had a meeting and showed up a little late. Also, I went out to lunch and came back with car troubles. I swerved right into CAA mechanic’s and ran inside all scared like. Of course my car wouldn’t act up when I was trying to show the dude’s what was going on. FYI: something was screeching (like honestly, ear piercing) on my car. At first I thought it was this obnoxious old car behind me. But the car went away. So I slowed down, turned off my music, and rolled the window down a crack. Still, not thinking it was MY car making that racket. So I pulled into the Michael’s Craft store to do some shopping. Pulled out and it was indeed my car. I put’er in park, called the Boyf with no answer. So I called my boss in a panic.

Then drove to the CAA which you’ve already read… No idea what’s wrong with it, if anything. The mechanic said my “belts are new”. Whatever that means.

Either way. my day flew by and I’m now part of the Social Media team at work, so I’ve gotten the new role of Content Editor. Which means I tweet for my company’s work and IT’S SO FUN TO TWEET. Oh, and I went to CrossFit right after work and did some crazy shiz there. A lot of skipping and push ups. I may “invest” (because they’re SOO expensive) in my own skipping rope soon. I really need to concur those darn tootin’ double-under’s. As long as they come with clamp accessories, I’m all set.

I may do the paleo challenge at the local CrossFit box, you guys. It scares me. I’ll talk about that more next week though.

Onto my OOTWW. It’s 11:11pm and we still haven’t had supper. Oof. Here I am waiting for it to be done in the oven.

ootwwK have a great weekend everyone!
