Spa day

I love treating myself to getting spa–like services. A girls body needs that every now and then. A co–worker during the summer always has freshly painted toe nails like once a week, seriously. It’s insane but the woman she goes to is incredibly cheap. So now I go to her too! She operates out of her basement and she’s a small little Asian woman with a cute little girl who speaks PERFECT English, unlike her lol. The kiddo always helps me pick out the prettiest colors. So my brows and toes are all ready to go home and show off! My guess is that they’ll be ruined as soon as I hit the climbing wall and cram my feet into the little shoes. Who cares though! :) As long as they’re pretty for a day or two!

I managed to snag some really great deals on the MAC Cosmetics website the other night. They were are offering 25% off their Holiday collection, and free shipping (even though it’s like a 10 minute bus ride away, I still like to get packages in the mail. heh!) So I picked up some stuff for my sister–in–law’s birthday. I know she doesn’t wear too much makeup or anything, but still she likes to get dolled up from time–to–time, who doesn’t, right? Plus it needs to be sent off to Ireland. That’ll be my first thing to do when I get back from my Christmas vaca, since everything takes 7-8 weeks to send over seas! So I managed to grab these three items. Booya! (Not all of them are for her, I bought them for myself too! Hip hip horray!) So anyway, I received my packages in the mail on Friday, at work of all places! I opened it up right away because it was in a HUGE box and I just thought it might have been more marketing supplies, since it didn’t say it was from MAC specifically on the box. I received the huge box right after my Boss and I exchanged Christmas presents. She’s just as bad with MAC as I am. Each time I opened the little amazing well designed packages, I passed it to her, as she drooled over it. THEN she too went online and bought 2x more stuff as I got. So her MAC package should arrive sometime this week, or next seeing as it’s the busy holiday rush.

WEEE!!!

Happy Birthday!

…to my little buddy and one of my four nephews, Ruairi (Rory). He turned 1 year old today. Unfortunately for favorite Auntie Nancy, I live in Canada while they all live in Ireland. Boooooo! I haven’t seen him since he was two weeks old. My Brother sends photos to me via facebook and everything. So I get to hear all kinds of cute/funny stories about how he’s a real character, and likes to make everyone laugh. He’s a happy boy too, and his big brother Kelan (two and a half year old) tears him apart lol.

I sent over a massive Christmas Box with everyone’s Christmas presents, including Ruairi’s birthday gift. THEY RECEIVED IT LAST WEEK, finally. I mailed it on October 28, so I’m glad it got there before Christmas! Everything takes 8 weeks to mail over there. It’s ridic.

Last soccer game of oh eight

WHAT A SNOW STORM OUT THERE! I’m glad I decided to wake up ten minutes earlier this morning. Apparently they’re calling for 30cm now, as opposed to the previous estimate of 15–20cm. Le sigh. I hope it’ll all settle before tomorrow morning since I’m bussin’ it out to get my pedi and brow wax before I head home!

Last night was our last indoor soccer game of 2008. We headed out to a little shady pub after and had a few drinks. I think last night was the only time I didn’t score a goal. Impressive hey? A team mate made up for that though, with a nice hat trick, and ended up winning the game for us 3—1. I’ll miss a game in January because the season starts back up again, but I’ll still be in Newfie land partyin’ it up.

It was a tough game, I almost wish someone brought a camcorder and recorded it. The other team was totally falling all over the place, and we weren’t being pushy or anything, this one girl was clumsy as sin. I think I bruised the bottom of my heel, or where my heel ends (mid–foot) it’s sore as hell but I don’t walk on that part of my foot, so it’s not like it’s sore constantly, only when I step on something by mistake with my bare feet like my laptop wire.

My Boss and I exchanged gifts this morning. She knows me all too well. It’s really great. She loved all the little purse–sized things I gave her (she loves little things like that), and we were all giddy and happy playing Christmas music getting excited over our gifts.

Okay, I’m totally rambling here today, I obviously don’t have anything much important to say, hehe. Oh and YAY, IT’S PAY DAY!
