Happy Pancake Tuesday!
It was tradition growing up in my household that we had pancake Tuesday on the night of Shrove Tuesday, which is the day before Ash Wednesday. I wasn’t the biggest fan of pancakes, but what was inside them made me excited for the yearly event. My Mom always put coin money in our pancakes growing up.Then I went on my merry way to practice my violin. Did you know I played that for a few years? I was never involved with the cool percussion instruments, that was saved for my brother playing trombone. Oh the golden days.
I spoke to my Boss about the money in the pancakes thing while we were on lunch together at the mall, and she had never heard of it! Perhaps it’s just a Newfoundland thing after all?
Either way, I had to keep the tradition going sans coin, since the Boyfriend and I come from The Rock! So tonight I made some fruity pancakes with chopped fresh berries.
Inside the pancake mix I added oatmeal, and blueberries. So many flavors happening in my mouth.

Those cakes look to die for! YUM!!! Tonight on my dinner menu… Whole Foods hot and cold bar! I have been craving Whole Foods for some time now so I am pumped!! :)
