Hey chicken lickens! It’s Friday and I couldn’t be happier. I love it when the work week flies by.Not that my work seems like work by any means, because it certainly doesn’t — which I’m so lucky and thankful for. But this weekend has been in the works for a little while and I’m so excited to do a re-cap. I’d like to tell you guys where I’m going, but for safety reasons of this blog, I don’t like telling people in advance as to where I’ll be and when. Know what I meaaaaaaan?
Alright, here’s the outfit of the work week. You’ll notice I haven’t been wearing dress pants all this week (with the exception of maybe one day, whatever…ignore that). That’s because I took all my pairs of pants to a TAILOR this week! I was recommended by the retired CEO here at work, and since his clothes look well on him, I asked where he went. He’s been a client of these tailors for thirty years. Moses. This week he took me there, and then we went out to lunch at a little coffee shop in an old hotel (and the other part is actually a cigars shop — seriously!) . It was so nice! I can’t wait to see my pants!!
At lunch today I had a strange craving for some tea and … bacon. I don’t buy bacon ever, and I drink tea about twice a year as an indulgence since I sweeten it with 4 or 5 sugars (I know). I gave into my craving for one of the two, and headed off to Tim Hortons. Again, very rare — I used to work there for three months a while back, and didn’t like any of the things they had to offer so I never went in to buy anything. I bought myself a chicken salad sandwich which hit the spot, and half a dozen cookies for my co-workers. I had a chocolate chunk/pecan/caramel cookie which I’m sure had trans-fat in there, and it definitely gave me gut rot. A good reminder why I never go to that coffee shop. Anyway, I had a cup of homemade tea at work to go with it.
Mmm mmm…can you see the sugar rimmed mug? Ha!!
I’m not exactly craving bacon anymore, but ever since I got back from Christmas vacation … obviously eon’s ago, I have been wanting to eat some Chinese food. I think I need to give in.
Have you had any weird cravings lately?
Um. So much for No Buy Month. I ended up getting Easter treats (for tomorrow) to make a cheesecake, and I even bought lunch because yesterday was incredibly busy, during lunch time at the bank and the grocery store – I had to race home to let Alfie piddle, then race back to work. Thankfully there’s a coffee shop in our building that makes delicious panini’s, so I asked the guy to make me one. Yum.
I also have to go out tomorrow to buy one of those $20 hand mixers to make a cheesecake (my first one – ever! It’s so easy too, if it comes out right I’ll link the recipe from Kraft Canada.
Just took Alfie out on a two hour (slow) walk so he could get used to people. Bark bark bark. Vicious little attitude. Old men have a thing for ladies and puppies. I don’t know what it was all about, but when I sat down on some steps to take a break, all these creepers came and sat next to me.
He’s quite exhausted there now. Finally, I don’t have to watch him and jump out of my computer chair to discipline him because he’s conked right out on the floor next to me. On his side. Adorb!!!
Have a happy Good Friday! Poor Boyf has to work all weekend :(
