Knocked my knee

Tonight I went out to a fairly nice restaurant with Scott’s ‘team’ from work, it was a Christmas Dinner – nice time for me to wear my high heels for the second time. Until I tripped over the stairs going to the bathroom and totally knocked my knee out of place somehow, and managing to knock down some stupid wooden picture frame. The washrooms were in the basement and nobody heard me, thankfully. Anyway, supper was totally filling and I’m ready to burst. Too wide awake to sleep yet.

My work’s Christmas Party is on the same night as Scott’s, not entirely sure what we’re going to do there, but I’m 99.91% certain that I want to go to mine. Mainly because I’ve never been to a real work Christmas type of party. I need to buy a nice dress. While I was in Toronto that other weekend, I was looking for something different to wear, but nothing suited my ‘fancy’ ha!

A little less than 3 weeks until I’m home. I am way unbelievably excited about this. Last year was spent in Ireland with my brother, his new wife, and step-kids. This year, my brother wont be in Newfoundland or anything, but we’re finally having Christmas dinner cooked by my awesome Mom who is a fantastic cook. My mouth is salivating talking about the meal, already. COUNT DOWN IS ON.

I’m going to Mt. Tremblant this ski-season, shall be exciting. Work is subsidizing it for us, so we get an insanely good deal.. so I’m takin Scott with me. Going to do some partying up in Quebec for sure.

Indoor soccer season has 2 more games left. Then no more until the summer. It sucks too, because I thought we might’ve been able to get a league on the go from January – April, but my ‘coach’ (we don’t have a referee, coach, anything – it’s great haha) couldn’t get a building or field booked whatsoever. Uhhhhhhhgg…nothing to look forward to on Wednesday’s anymore!

I get such an awesome deal when I head home this year. My Mom just bought a new computer that came with a 20″ or 21″ LCD monitor – she already had a 17″ flat screen, and my PC had a 15″ lcd…well, my neighbour was interested in buying one of the monitors from my Mom, so she decided to sell the 15″ to my neighbour, and give me her 17″ one! Awesome hey? I’m so excited to get my PC set up again, that thing runs so fast…

Well, it’s 11P and it’s probably about time I get ready for my beauty rest :P Bye bye folkies

First experience at Abercrombie

I went on a shopping spree in Toronto this weekend, with my best friend this weekend. Believe it or not we walked a good 23km only going around the Eaton Centre! No lies, since I wear a hefty pedometer hitched onto my jeans pocket, daily. So, Jenna and I hit up Abercrombie and Fitch, one of the stores that we totally envy but have never stepped foot in, until Saturday. That store was so dark, and playing club music it definitely got us in the mood to go dancing & partying, that’s for sure. We promptly decided that we should go out on a binge in Newfoundland when we get home for Christmas. Today, I sent out a “girls night only” e-mail to a bunch of our friends, to go partying a few days after Jenna and I get back to the province. hee hee!!

I thought I ate a healthy supper tonight: Salmon, Green Beans, and Roasted Potatoes. Until I was informed that potatoes are not so healthy for you. What the?! Yeah. I’ve been eating like crap lately, and bringing frozen dinners into work every single day since I moved into my apartment… I was feeling ill on Sunday, and again today. Perhaps it was from excess frozen foods, and not enough excersize since the gym is a drive’s away now rather than in the same building. I can’t wait unitl my work moves again, so I can have a gym INSIDE the building that I work in…rather than hitch a ride with a co-worker and then take 1.5hrs + 2 busses to get home. Ridiculous! :)

I’m registering for my OHIP (medical coverage) card this week, shall be exciting and kind of weird at the same time. I’m going to have my picture on my medical card! haha. Gotta have a good hair day for that I spose. Anyhoo….I’m off to relax. Adiousss.

Moving out motivation

I have so much motivation lately. I think being out on my own has had a positive affect on me. I’ve been cooking so much, and been in the mood to get back into painting (after taking a year and a half break!). A few nights ago I made two suppers and froze both of them, then made a third dinner & ate it. Kraft has me hooked on easy recipes for sure.

My cousin flew to NL a little over a week ago, for a couple of days & he stayed with my parents…and my Mom decided to pack up my PC!! My cousin lives three hours away in Collingwood, and when he flew back he drove 3hrs just to drop it off to me! I invited him and his two little girls in, and we talked for a while. Mainly I played with his kids while Coleen (my Mom’s cousin – who I stayed with before I got my apartment) talked with him hehehe. But yisssss I got my ice skates sent up and now I have my PC! Score. I think Scott and I will go skating this weekend – if I don’t go to Toronto to meet up with my friend. I feel like going on the liquor this weekend. Haven’t had a good party since I left Newfoundland sure.

I love not having anything to do. Usually I get home semi-late from the gym and it takes forever by bus, make supper, do laundry, clean up my room a bit, lay out my clothes for the next day. But everything is done now – and it’s only 6:30! I’m going to relax, make a bit of popcorn and watch the tube.

I’m so interesting lately, ya know ya know.
