10 nine 8 seven

The other day Brittany tagged me to do a “10 random facts” about myself and tag 5 others. It took me a while to come up with 10 things. Here we go!

1. I heart food. It’s safe to say that I definitely love food whether it be cooked meals, quick McDonalds burgers, or even chocolate covered almonds. I’m glad to have a metabolism that lets me eat all of this, but then again I do exercise frequently enough to maintain my weight.

2. I miss climbing. Especially back in Newfoundland where there was a huge group of us that always just hung out and climbed at the local gym. I do go back to visit when I am home, but it’s definitely not the same and I miss my crazy muscles!

3. I love what I do. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do in life in regards to my career. I had no idea Graphic Designers existed. I thought they were all Computer Science majors for some reason. I nearly went into that, because I did like math and computers. Thankfully I was introduced to the program and finished it in 2006.

4. I crack my knuckles … and sometimes bite my nails. I think I bite my nails when I’m thinking/working hard or especially if I’m watching an intense movie. I’m trying to get out of the habit, but it’s difficult.

5. Reading Blogs. Clearly, I’m addicted to reading blogs about food, fitness, fashion, friends, and watching Makeup YouTube videos. Recently I haven’t had much time to comment on a lot of blogs or view YouTube videos, but that’s a good thing right? It means I’m busy with life – which is always a good thing instead of being inside on the computer all the time.

6. I don’t own a phone. Neither my Boyfriend or I have our own cell phone, or land line/home phone. The companies we work for supplies us with blackberries and pays for us to use it. We do pay for our own personal usage though like long distance. But I’m sneaky. I call my parents home phone in Newfoundland, let it ring and hang up. They call me back and I don’t get charged! Yay free phones!!

7. I hate onions. If you even mention the word, I cannot look at you for a moment lol. They disgust me to no end. I’d eat liver or something crazy before I eat an onion, cooked or raw.

8. I found some grey hair’s on my birthday. It was disappointing. Clearly I’m running out of ideas on what to post. At least I’m not going bald.

9. I live in flip flops during the summer. Doesn’t everyone?

10. I love Ontario. Travelling up north on the weekends, driving to the states. Everything is so close!!!

Nothing much new over on this end

Referring back to yesterday’s post… how do you pick out a cleaning lady? I’m always paranoid that they’ll steal stuff on me.

I put together a super cute outfit yesterday. Here’s a sneak peak of it before Friday’s OOTWW. It definitely helps save time in the morning getting everything ready on Sundays, and if I don’t want to wear something that I put together (like yesterday I almost looked like a Nurse, because I first had a white top picked out. It was terrible.) I just grab whatever else is on the shelf and put it on.

Tonight’s running is out, again. I’m still annoyed at my leg injury from soccer. Still feels like a shin splint not on my shin. I’m going to give it a few more days and start running again. I know my endurance has probably plummeted but I’m resting it now to prevent long-term damage. Right? Smart thinkin.

Puppy bed

I did a post not too long ago when I was contacted by CSN stores to pick and item out from their ginormous website, and I reviewed my cooling rack here? Well in June I was contacted again! Love this company.

It took me forever to pick out another item because every store they have listed has thousands of products. I ended up going with a dog bed for Alfie. It’s a Faux Suede and Tipped Berber Round Comfy Cup® in Tan Carolina Pet Company. It’s pretty swanky looking hey? It also comes in a few other colors, but I thought the tan would be classic looking and would go with basically anything in the apartment.

I was positive that Alfie would enjoy this new dog bed of his, as he likes his comfort. It arrived on Friday and I didn’t get a chance to open it and let Alfie have at it until Monday around lunch time.

I decided to document this meet and greet with a new smelling bed.

He wasn’t so sure on what it was for, and if it was even for him. I kept telling him good boy when he was sniffing it and putting his paws up on it.

Rolling around and getting his scent all over the bed.

Clearly, he quickly got used to it and laid on it while I ate my lunch.

It’s huge, fluffy and so comfortable. I got the smallest size, and it was massive. Perfect! I was worried it would be too small, but then again Alfie is only 5lbs. At first he thought it was a toy and started chewing on it like everything else he does.

I decided to take it away from him if he was going to end up destroying it. The bed is such great quality that I didn’t want him to chew it up within the first week. If he keeps acting that way I’m going to have to wait til he’s older to hand it back to him.

Git off you silly kins!

Alfie. DO NOT CHEW.

“Sorry momma”

However, the next morning I put the bed back on the floor, and he did end up gnawing at it again,  until I scolded him and said “AH AH!”.

I think then, he decided it was safe and fine to sleep/sit on, because I left him alone for a few minutes — came back and he was sucking on his bed.

Cuddling into his bed…

…and looking at me.

My other dog Peepers (RIP) used to do this to her toys. I mean, Alfie does this to his bed when he’s inside his crate. But maybe he knows that this too is his bed? Gotta say though, it’s a little strange.

So Alfie and I wanted to say THANK YOU…

…to CSN Stores for having the opportunity to try out the adorable dog beds from Simply Dog Beds.
