CrossFit Journal Year 2 Week 3

Does anyone even read these recaps at all? lol I feel like no one cares. But I do look back at them for a reference when I have to do these workouts again so I know what my weight/time was from the past and try to beat that.

Soccer!

Second last game, was intense. All without female subs. Here’s a recap: Ball to the face (my eye was swollen after. Ew). Ball to the stomach unexpectedly (I let out a big OOF, then ppl embarrassed me asking if I was ok lol) then after I had to stand off the freakin field and take another puff of my asthma inhaler…had a mini attack. I woke up the next day with the ball imprint still implanted into my stomach and a black toenail! Do you know how long those take to grow out? A YEAR. A full year. Second last game of the entire season too, of course that would happen ;)

year 2, week 3, day four

For the full 15 minutes complete:
50 jerks at 75%

Jenn and I were the only one’s at CrossFit this Saturday evening so we were taking tons of photos of each other doing the WOD. It was super fun lol.

The heaviest weight I went for (for the last 10 jerks) was 70lbs! I was pretty pleased with myself, that’s some pretty heavy weight, ya’know?

Here are some of the (many) photos we took on Friday evening:

OOTWW

I’m worn out this week, in a good way! I haven’t stopped climbing, playing soccer and CrossFitting!!! Last night was extra special because the boyf came to watch me boulder after he went swimming and ended up taking this 28 second video of me!

It was from the boulder competition a few weeks ago and I hadn’t tried it since it’s marked as #34 (The problems started at 1 – being easiest and ended at 58 – hardest). So #34 was pretty high up there. I haven’t gotten that dyno yet but I was thinking of going during my lunch break today. Instead, I’ll wait til the weekend since my one finger is pretty sore.

St-Paddys

On Monday we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day a day late but it was still fun to dress up! Here’s an image of me as I crop my co-workers out hahaha…My outfits from the work week!

Oooo my pretty co-worker Julie wore a great outfit yesterday at work and I took two pictures to show you guys…

jNecklace: Swarovski
Cardigan, peplum top, and skirt: Ricki’s
Shoes: Aldo
Can you see those polka dot nylons? Amazing.

Onto my outfits from the work week!

ootwwEnjoy your Friday, folks!

Fossil sunglasses

Over our lunch break Julie and I tried on some sunglasses at Fossil in our local mall. I’m iffy on these shades that I picked out to buy. They’re the Berkley Oversized Aviators and they’re only $60. I mean, I’ve tried on sunglasses that were well over a hundred bucks) and these babies are made of metal, not plastic. So it’s a pretty good price, don’t you think? Fossil-Sunglasses

I haven’t bought them yet since they don’t quite fit as well as my… ahem… five dollar sunglasses. I know I know.  But I have a really difficult time finding sunglasses for my face shape. A lot of them look way too big, and I don’t even think that I have that small of a face. I usually call myself a melon-head because in photos I thought my head was ginormous!

Either way, they’re on my maybe-list right now. What do you guys think?

Julie also tried on a pair in Madison Oversized Butterly. They were way too expensive for what they were though. They’re plastic, and they were $80. Twenty bucks more than the metal aviators I was trying on. I told her not to buy them. They did look pretty swanky on her though.
