Outfit of the Day: Sept 23, 2019

All black was my go-to for the past year. But it never really suited me as much as earthy tones does. So in the next few upcoming OOTDs I’m bringin’ it back. For now, enjoy an all black ensemble.

I also realized it’s much easier (obviously) to take my outfit photos when he’s napping.

Outfit details:
Tank: Old Navy (they seem to bring this one back every year). I bought it in a size large and wore it while pregnant. Now I use
Leggings: prAna. These have lasted me 3+ years. I wear them at least 2-3 days a week, wash them in hot. Slapp’em in the dryer. Wash them in cold. Doesn’t matter, they don’t shrink, they don’t pill. They were a PR sample years back, but such a good piece. In fact, all my prAna clothes (which were mostly all PR sent/gifted) are fantastic quality that wash even better and still look brand new for years to come.
Shoes: Vince
Bag: Neiman Marcus

Outfit of the Day: Sept 20, 2019

Didn’t think that you’d hear from me again this quick – didja!!

So I found a good way to take self-timershots without a proper tripod and without having my phone dropping onto concrete.

My camera is seriously inside of a shoe, and that shoe is laying on the stroller. Lol. Hey, whatever works. Bebs was down for his nap and I had the stroller out, so I decided to see how it worked for me. And worked it did.

Although this is an incredibly basic outfit, it’s what I’ve been reaching for, and pretty much my daily “uniform”. Fall is coming up and I’m looking forward to start layering more.

Are you guys interested in all the OOTDs, or more of the layering ones. Cause I mean jeans and a tee guys, you can’t get any simpler than that.

Anyway, this is what I wore literally today. Thought I’d share. I’m using my Google pixel to take these shots and often I have “motion” turned on, which means it takes a variety of shots all within probably a half second, so I can save any of the shots in the motion – you know in case I blink, or if I’m squinting hard into the sun. I can omit those. However with those, if it’s not the original, and if it’s part of the motion, it’s like taking a still from a video, the quality isn’t great. But, I mean, it’s only an OOTD not like I’m taking super fantastic product shots here or anything. So I’ll let it go.

Outfit details
Crewneck tee: Target (in stores now!)
Jeans: Articles of Society  (they’re always on sale with the Nordstrom Anniversary sales)
Belt: Decades old from American Eagle
Shoes: Johnston & Murphy (seen here, and here)
Bag: My goodie bag from Neiman Marcus that I got here.

Weird blooper that I sometimes may not include. My keys bulging out of my arse pocket, and me thinkin’ a good ol’ hair flick would look cool. It did not. ha!!!

Up-close shot because this one was too cute not to share. He honestly just squat down behind my shoes, wouldn’t move, and kept saying “CHEESE!”. Sidenote, I need to clean the shoes obviously – but if you’re not aware you can easily clean sneakers with imitation (or the real thing…) Magic Eraser things! Just google melamine sponges. Or pick’em up at the dollar store.

So, there ya have it. Enjoy your weekend folks.

How our first prenatal class went…

The other day my husband and I drove to our first of many (oh so many) prenatal classes. It was three hours long. This course cost us a pretty penny (Bay Area Life I suppose….) and no wonder they don’t give refunds, because it was dumb. I was hoping it wouldn’t be. But no refunds = we’ll continue to go.

I also maybe embarassed myself a little bit during class since she asked everyone to answer out loud what their favourite thing of being pregnant was.

Me: I love how thick my hair has gotten, omgggggg
Every other gosh darn tootin’ person: Aw, I love feeling baby kicking.

Oops? Guess I probably shouldn’t have answered as one of the first people. But it’s true! I love how thick my hair feels, it doesn’t get greasy, and it’s just fantastic.

The instructor insured us she wasn’t going to get all hippy-dippy on us, but by the end we were all on the floor doing that hee-hee-hee-hoo breathing technique that no one uses during labor. I couldn’t even doing it because my husband and I were laughing too much. Luckily a ton of people in the class were also a bit foolish so we didn’t feel like complete jerks for laughing so hard at….mostly everything.

I made one Black Friday purchase and it was this denim vest from Recks & Relle, a shop I found on the explore page of Instagram. But for this OOTD today on the blog, I added an extra layer – the Shop Pink Blush cardigan which is honestly hands-down the best quality item I’ve received yet from them.

Sure horizontal stripes may make me look wider than what I am. But! I am huge fan of them, and I feel like all I do lately is wear grey, black or white striped tops in this pregnancy, with the exception of a few basic tops.

Debating why I thought it was a good decision to take some of these photos on the floor. Honestly it sounds so ridiculous but it’s quite difficult to get up off the floor – especially in the evenings. Where did my abs go? Why do they only work in the mornings and completely disappear at night? All these questions I have.

Long sleeved tops are my jam right now.

I feel so fancy in my monochrome outfit with my brilliant red velvet shoes that are under $15! What a deal. I even bought a backup pair because I’m crazy like that.

Wearing:
Black Striped Fold Trim Maternity Cardigan ($45)
Target Black non-maternity long sleeved
H&M Mama Leggings (need to be replaced! They are starting to get holes!)
Velvet shoes

Lol pointing to the large and in charge belly, not the delicious iced coffee.

I’m going to see the Nutcracker Ballet soon, and I am totally eying up this Velvet Blazer from Pink Blush, too! I hope it’s on my list of items to choose as an Ambassador next time, eek! :)

Disclaimer: Huge thanks to my pal Megan for hooking me up with PinkBlush to be an ambassador with them too! As a PinkBlush Ambassador I get a point for each piece of clothing to review. Each time I post = 1 point. I did not receive monetary compensation for posting about the brand.
