Alfie is pretty good at sounding cute when he begs, therefore seems to always usually get what he wants.
We never feed him table scraps, so luckily he doesn’t beg for those. Remember the pizzle/bully stick I bought him? It’s almost gone. Usually we rotate his treats, or take them away if we feel like he’s had enough time with it. Those bully sticks are expensive man! Between $4-$6 a pop. If we let him, he’d chew on that thing for a good hour. It’s a great distraction for him when I need to do chores. But sometimes he begs for those things himself.
Here he is, whimpering on the edge of the couch, knowing darn well where we place his bones. Notice his serious face in the first few photos, haha.

I took Alfie to our local specialty pet food store as he was running low on food. Orijen is a brand my husband and I trust, it’s a high protein food, which we mix 50/50 with another high quality food but with less protein. This time The Guy left the 2nd bag of food decision up to me, and I thought we had this gold packaged food for Alfie in the past so I picked it up without sending a quick BBM message and photo to him. Alfie LOVES the stuff, the bag was $11.99, and you can tell the cheaper stuff was more on the unhealthy side compared to Orijen because he picks it all out of his bowl and eats that first. Hilarious little fella.
While he was there in the store, the man and I were chatting about the breed of Alfie (Pomeranian, obviously) and I mentioned he loved pizzel/bully sticks (I’ll let you google that one), so I bought him another one while we were there.
I try to socialize Alfie as much as possible. He may seem cute in photos that I post online but he has a protective side to him, especially when it’s just the two of us out in public. He loves to hear his own voice and dang he is a loud bugger.
Anyway! Enjoy the photos of him for this week — a trip to his own little grocery store, ha!

I’m quite impressed with Alfie’s athletic abilities.
Last weekend was so warm outside, we decided to go for a run in our summer gear. A six kilometre run. We brought Alfie with us. I think it’s safe to say he (yes, the dog) is in much better shape than I am! I had his leash wrapped around my hand a couple of times in case he decided he wanted to run in front of me and trip me up, so it worked out pretty well. The three of us went on a slow run, but a run none the less. I couldn’t believe at how well he held up, especially since he has little pinner legs. And you know what? He was rearin’ to keep going long after we got home. He wasn’t pooped out one bit. That’s what I call impressive. I was so proud of him!
We like to take Alfie on a two hour walk together on the weekends, so while we were doing that last weekend, the Guy wanted to pop into a store to check out some sales on games. Alfie dislikes it when The Guy and I separate for any length of time, and especially if he is missing out on anything, so I couldn’t help but laugh at him being in panic mode waiting for the guy to come out of the stores. Naturally, I documented it.
Enjoy pom friday, especially the one where he’s mid-bark. Ha!
