Not so chronic complainer

Monday morning before work, I had my chiropractor appointment for my regular bi–weekly adjustment. I finally had my first complaint with pain.

As an avid soccer player, and a quite petite build for it, I get beaten down fairly easy. This doesn’t mean that I fall all over the place when I’m running past the defenders. It simply means that I probably have been going a bit hard the last few weeks as we’re now in the play–off’s and it’s a round robin type thing rather than the latter as we busted our asses off to stay in first place the whole season.

I ended up playing Thursday night at 6:30 (finally an early game) and the past two weeks I’ve been taking it easy on my already hurting right ankle (Okay, not really the ankle — It’s like a tendon where my shin meets my foot). He suggested that I do not put it in an ankle brace, or wrap it. Just continue to stretch it and ice it after games if I do hurt it again. I’m not  even really sure how this ankle pain all started. The two indoor leagues that I play on are two completely different surfaces and sizes. I remember it hurting when I was playing a really tough game and a bunch of times I ended up colliding with a player on the other team, with the ball in between both of our feet. You know how that can hurt! Soccer is really a rough sport, I gotta say. I’ve taken down a few players myself as shocking as that may seem. I also got my first bloody nose (in my life) during the 2008 outdoor season. It was a funny moment to be honest. At first I was like OHH F NO, and got scared and ran off the field. Though, it didn’t hurt, I just remember getting out my blackberry and tiling my head back and typing as fast as I could to my boyfriend telling him all about it, as exciting as that may have seemed. First bloody noses are “coooool” lol. Thankfully, it didn’t bleed for THAT long and I got back on the field quickly.

I’ll get to really rest it for about 5 or 6 weeks when these two indoor leagues end in April, so I can be all ready to go, when the time comes in late May to start our outdoor season.

Tomorrow we’ve got an early game as well: 6PM. Well, I’m off to do my taxes on a Saturday afternoon.

Later all!

My reward

I will be making a trip to my sweet little Asian lady who has an aesthetic salon at her house, if I am successful with this No Buy Month. Way to go huh? Try and not spend money for a whole 31 days and then days after it’s over go out and spend a fifty. I’ve made my appointment for Saturday morning, April 4 for the following, regardless of the pointless No Buy Month:

Eyebrow Wax: $5 (!!!)
Pedicure:
$20
Powder Gel Nails:
$25

Not a bad deal, plus she’s super anal at getting everything done absolutely perfect, so there is never any flaws when she does your eyebrows/pedi’s. I haven’t had a pedi since I went home for Christmas, and I only removed the polish just a few days ago, mainly because it looked weird. But there wasn’t ONE chip in the polish. Eyebrows on the other hand are a bit unruly, and I’m plucking them, and flinching each time I do it because I hate causing myself pain trying to get every single hair. I’d rather just someone else RIP IF OFF in one go. But she also plucks some strays after she’s done. I’ve never actually had anything done by her besides the eyebrow wax and pedi. So I’ll be excited to see how my nails come out. As you can see, I’m super stoked about this haha.

I’ll be put to the test next Monday. I’ll be going over to the next city to get my retainer adjusted for some reason (usually every three months or so now). After my appointments I usually go out with my Mom’s cousin, and her mother for some dinner. But this time, I’m asking my Mom’s cousin to meet me at the mall, ’cause I want to check out the new Bath & Body Works store, as I’ve nevvvvvver been inside one before. My room mate has some amazing smelling stuff on, always … and most of the things she’s smells like (lol) is from BBW! Oh, tempting tempting, to break this rule of mine.

Backlog

Ever since purchasing my pro flickr account a few weeks ago ($25/yr to hold all the photos you’ve ever taken isn’t bad) I’ve been updating my flickr with really, really old photos. It even goes back as far as 2004. Before Flickr I used to use a free website called pbase but to my surprise, they have actually deleted a lot of my photos from 2002 and 2003. I was unimpressed to say the least and sent quite a few nasty e-mails to the company. Since I wasn’t a paying customer, they couldn’t do anything about it. So, rather than pay  after them loosing all my memories from back in the party days, I decided to pay Flickr instead. This is sort of a pointless entry, but I decided to update a few of you on here as some people who read this are my Flickr contacts as well.

I have a question though regarding everyone’s Flickr plugin/widget (what is it?) on websites. Why does my flickr preview photos look so ugly compared to everyone else’s? I mean, the layout of them. All spaced out super weird, no standard thumbnail view. I may remove it all together! How annoying. Why am I computer illiterate?

Most of my photos aren’t viewable to the public, as Flickr actually gets a lot of creepers. But the ones I had on pbase were indeed, public and so once I’ve moved them all over to Flickr, I decided to still keep them public. You can view my flickr page here!
