Blend that beauty

I woke up early this morning so that I could re-create the curls my new hair stylist did for me on Saturday. I have to say I may have gotten carried away with the round brush and the hair straightener (to curl). It’s definitely curly. But it also doesn’t look as sleek as what the guy did it. Of course though. Right? I suppose it all takes time and practice.

If you went to my website last night (and probably again tonight) a lot of errors have probably come up on your page. Not to worry — I have a backup of my website, but we’re still fooling around with the RSS feed to make it work properly. So, I have no idea when it will be fixed. I will let you guys know once its working though.

bbI have seen a lot of YouTube Makeup Guru’s use this product or sponge in the shape of an egg, called the Beautyblender. Apparently it blends your makeup in just as well as any other makeup brush that you’ll use. I’m pretty interested in seeing if it actually works on myself or not but I still haven’t forked out my money to try one out.

I’m not sure I’d like to keep it in the plastic covering constantly, as I store my makeup brushes in a pencil holder type thing on my shelf in the bathroom. I don’t want this egg thing rolling around all over the place and falling on the floor. Does anyone have any positive or negative thoughts on this product?

Spectacles

You think with all the posting that I do about the Lowest Price Progressive Glasses, that I actually own a pair myself, or have a prescription. No, no that’s not the case. I just love eyeglasses to be honest. I love helping people pick out glasses to suit their faces. Even though I’ve only done it twice — once when my Mom had to get her first set of glasses, and the other time with a friend of mine.

In fact, since I’ve been talking about eye glasses and getting good deals on them, I thought that I should probably make my own appointment to have my eyes checked. I don’t even remember the last time I had my eyes looked at. It has definitely been past the two year mark. I ended up going in on Thursday morning (8:30 appointment), and had them do some tests on me, and of course my eyes are still “better than 20/20”. Which is fine! It’s odd considering my brother, mother and father each need glasses. I guess it’s all those carrots I eat ;)

frames

The BF needs a new set of frames soon, maybe I should tell him about Eric’s Review of Zenni Optical since they’re The #1 online Rx glasses store, right? I have already picked out a few that I know would definitely suit him, since his frames are almost like the ones listed above. Don’t want to go too drastic ;)

Want more information? Check out this Zenni review too.

Conquer the bay

I’m typing on my laptop right now as I type this. Which I haven’t used in about a year – mainly because it’s overloaded – which makes it SO SLOW and definitely needs to be cleaned up.

Last night I decided I wanted to fix the RSS feed on my site here. The computer engineer of a boyfriend of mine decided he’d take it into his own hands since I haven’t had the urge to realllllly fix it, myself.

All my files were on my laptop. We (meaning, him) kept walking back and forth to both computers to do… computer things. Then finally after a half hour of backing up files and whatnot, Scott decides that I need to “define a site” on my desktop – the one I use on a daily basis. I couldn’t believe I didn’t set it up on my desktop before. But. It’s been downloading my spiffykerms site since LAST NIGHT at 7pm. It’s still going strong. So, nothing is getting fixed just yet.scott-pre-racerace-start2race-start
Also? The BF ran the 30km Hamilton’s “Around The Bay” road race today. He’s disappointed with his time. I still thought he did pretty well though.

finish-lineThere was also a 5K race right after the 30K start – the winner of the 5 ended up coming in at 14:10, now tell me that isn’t clippin’er. Holy fast. I also took a video of the guy coming in on the 30k with fireworks booming indoors for his first place marking. Wows. I think he came in at 1:32-something? Moses.

While waiting for the first place winner of the 30k, and of course for Scott to come in, I went walking around downtown Hamilton for a bit and took some pictures. lol yay.

auto-carHello beautiful auto car. Are you feeling alone in this strange city?

king-st2This may or may not be King Street.

king-stNice buildings though!

Totally random, and off topic? Alfie is starting to fart. Literally making little peeps out of his butt and stinking up the whole place. Naturally, the BF blames me. :( Sad day.

ps: I’ll answer hair questions in tomorrow’s post. I have to do laundry, cook supper and get ready to do my ttaxes.

Have a good night!
