Can I play?

[December’s Bone Scan]

I have my follow–up appointment with the Sports Medicine Doctor tomorrow at 3PM. Last time I saw him was in December, when he said I couldn’t play indoor soccer for a few months, remember that?

The nervousness has been taken over with a little bit of excitement. I’m feeling positive about my ankle, but at the same time I’m unsure if he’s going to give me the go-ahead to play outdoor this year. To be fair though, outdoor will be less aggressive on my foot, as it’s a larger playing area.

I have yet to get the bone scan, so tomorrow’s appointment is just going to go through the basics and give me a requisition to go to the hospital and have it done.

My ankle has been bothering me, now that I know my appointment is coming up. If I have to take another year off soccer, then so be it. I just want to be able to play again, eventually. Maybe I’ll take up swimming, since I’m now running and biking. Maybe I’ll get into some sprint tri’s. ha!

H&M buys and returns

As I mentioned in my H&M mini-haul, I ended up buying quite a few things from there! Even my Mom asked over the phone this weekend “There goes No Buy Month!” Yep – right out the window. I can’t do it in May either because hellooooo that’s my birthday month.

I may or may not have taken the back-side photo to see my new muscles from working out, haha! I’m also going to return the black tunic. It’s see-through, and not my favorite out of all the purchases. Plus, I don’t think I like black-on-black with this outfit. Ew. I’m wearing the same outfit that I did on Saturday because I love it so much. Remember, the pink tunic and leggings? Oh yeah. The tank tops are a definite keep, as they were only $14.50 each! Score. I also won’t be wearing these with leggings as the shirt is a bit too short for that. Nobody likes to see… that.

Can you beleive I’m so wide awake this morning? I think it helped I went to bed before ten last night and woke up and did a boot camp class with my favorite instructor filling in for the s**ty one. HA! <3 her.

Okay. More purchases. I know, I can’t get over it either.

I also picked up some cute summery 3/4 length cardigans at Old Navy. They were on a one-day sale for $14.50 each (reg. $29.50). I’m not sure I’m going to keep them yet. They’re SO soft though. I have enough striped in my wardrobe as it is. Hmm…what I really want is a hot pink full sleeved cardigan. Or pink in general. I think these may go back. I had to take photos of them with my blackberry since my digital camera battery died in the process of taking these pics.

Yeah. I think I just convinced myself I’d rather have the $30 back than keep the two cardy’s. Plus, I’m returning the black tunic. More monies for meee.

Soup’er up!

Oh boy and what a fantastic weekend it was. Alfie got a total of 7 hours of walking in the past three days and he’s just as hyper as ever. We ended up walking all over the city and saw so many people out in their fancy sports cars with their shiny new honda accessories shined up on their spoilers and rims. Not everyone has their winter tires yet off, I noticed. I put my summers on what seems like ages ago.

Have to admit though, I found myself browsing through those sites to fancy up my car too. When I was looking at Honda Civics I always saw souped up ones. But they were really nicely done with just different tail lights attached, changed the honda logo to a different chrome one, and added a new exhaust. A nice shiny one at that. I love it when cars are all neatly taken care of! Now I’m not talking about replacing my whole dashboard or anything like that. I meant just not-so-noticeable changes to the car. It makes all the difference, really. I think…

In fact, I ended up vacuuming out my car on Good Friday. It wasn’t even that dirty, because I keep it clean. I did take away my shovel that I had in the trunk, and my “backup” winter hat that I kept in the car in case I forgot mine and it was chilly.

I have yet to wash it this season. I’m going to bring it to some fancy place to wash/wax it for me though. They always seem to do a great job on my bosses car.

Do you take care of your cars like I do? Or do you not care? Lol. I love it when classy touches are added to the car, just to make it stand out a wee bit, but not so it’s too overdone, you know?
