The long weekend is here! Horrah!
My friend from back home (the one to the right) is literally minutes away from me, here in Ontario visiting her brother. I’m so excited I get to see her over the weekend! Hopefully she has time to hang out more than once with fun ol’ me ;)
Not sure what I have planned for the long weekend. Nothing in particular. I was debating whether or not I should go to CrossFit tonight because last night’s WOD was tremendous, but exhausting. I think I’m going to end up going, making it four times this week. I think they’ll be closed on Monday and that’s a SUPER long break if I decide to not work out tonight. Hold me to it guys, no excuses!
Speaking of CrossFit, I was talking to one of the two coaches who owns the gym and I was discussing my paleo digestive issues with him. He told me to incorporate more root vegetables such as turnip, squash and all those hearty veggies (blech) and maybe cut down more on coconut oil since things aren’t getting solidified. Can’t believe I’m discussing this with you all. But… y’know. It is what it is. He also thought my digestive issues were quite strange and unusual so he’s going to shoot an e-mail to Rob Wolf and research some things and get back to me. Anyyyhoo. Thought I’d keep you all informed on those bodily functions of mine for a beauty Friday. Hope you enjoyed that ;)

Last night I felt like I did all of the weekend chores. I stayed home and did a bunch of laundry, cleaned the bathroom and tidied up the bedroom since my clothes get flung on the floor at the end of the evening instead of folded away or put in the laundry bin. I even went shopping at the Farmers market and picked up some more fresh produce and made egg muffins last night. Jeesh. So I basically get to relax tonight. Except I’m dreading putting away the clean clothes that I have up to dry and looking up business lawyer raleigh nc. Minor details.
I made myself a fairly easy meal last night and took Janae’s Dad’s advice and cooked my corn in the microwave for 4 minutes. Just put a wet paper towel over it. It sure is faster but I definitely prefer it the boiling for 20 minutes way.
 Here’s what I wore to work this week. I don’t normally wear jeans throughout the week but it was a casual day as we hosted a staff BBQ at one of the offices on Wednesday. Hooray!

Me? Nada, right now anyway. Not sure what I’ll end up doing.

I forgot to feature my co-worker L, last week! So here’s her outfit from last week that we took during our lunch break. Doesn’t she look great?!
Back to yesterdays post regarding the mascara. I had thought about doing this but I didn’t do it until today. Applying smoky lash first, then finishing off to separate and lengthen a bit more with smoky extravagant. Gotta say, it works pretty darn well. My eye lashes are poppin off my face.
Now, the real question. Do I prefer Smoky Lash over Smoky Extravagant?
It’s hard to break up with your first (mascara) love. Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash is just that — my first love in a mascara and I will always faithfully go back to it. But what happens when your first mascara love has a younger, fresh, hotter, new feel? Smoky Extravagant has confused my heart and while it was a completely different brush and had me undecided for the first few days of using it. I think it’s safe to say that my go-to mascara will still remain the Smoky Lash. The clever cone shaped wand of the Smoky Extravagant is great and definitely gets a thumbs up in my books. I’m not ready for it to part from #1 place just yet. Perhaps combining the two mascaras will result in a favorite duo? If I use two mascaras in an application it’s usually Make Up For Ever, and Buxom’s. Only time will tell.

I’ll be driving to another city to visit my late Grandmother’s sister and take her out to Swiss Chalet. She loves that place.
