I’m falling behind!

ootd-1I’m trying to keep my “fashion posts” updated as I now have an excuse to wear a different pair of shoes and get out of my boring clothing rut and dress in something different every single week lol. There ya have it. I chopped my legs off in this one because I was at home and my full length mirror is on top of a plastic drawer thing (need to pick up some cardboard boxes soon, as I’m moving out of this place in 4 weeks!). Plus, ooh la la my purse got in the photo this time. Ow ow sista.

So. Let’s see where all this junk is from, k?

Top: Banana Republic. I love shopping in BR when they have sales because I’m an XS and apparently they always have a TON of leftovers in XS as they apparently never sell out of it, and it goes on sale quickly. As I was told by a saleswoman. It’s super comfortable and hasn’t pilled up and is super quality. I think this was purchased in 2008? I don’t remember. Fail.
Pants: A recent purchase from the GAP at about $29.00 on sale. Score.
Shoes: Nine West from Sherway Garden’s mall in Toronto. They scuffed the first few days, and I tried to bring them back and complain, but they weren’t accepting that and now I’m stuck with them. At least they’re incredibly comfortable.
Purse: Nine West from a discount store and ended up getting this for $34! I bought this while I was home during Christmas 2008/2009(?)

Some close ups of the shoes and pinstriped pants. I should have bought a smaller size in these pants because I always seem to be hiking them up! Too late now! I also hiked up my pants for snapping the photo of my shoes. Trust me, these pants are long enough lol. Isn’t the fabric (pattern?) stripe? lovely? That’s way too many question marks in one blog entry for me. Especially in one paragraph.

Monday work-wear

july20Ruffle blue top: Purchased in May ’09 from Ricki’s ($20)
Jean Blazer: Guess purchased in ’08 (on sale from $120 to $69)
Capris: Mexx
Sandals: Aeropostale ($5.99)

I had a chiropractor appointment today and for the last month or two I’ve diagnosed myself with carpal tunnel syndrome and seriously wanted to snap my wrist off from the weird ache. Finally I remembered to mention this to my chiro and he said a bone was out of alignment inside my wrist and all he did was tug on it a bit and voila, immediate relief. Apparently I know nothing about carpal tunnel and it actually starts tingling/numbing your fingers first. Which I had none of — phewf is all I can say to that. I thanked him, and left.

How was your weekend everyone!???

Aunt Nancy

ootd-july16I named this post Aunt Nancy mainly because it was my nephew’s 3rd birthday when I was wearing it.

Surprise surprise, my outfit is basically all from the store Dynamite. Jeesh! I had no idea I have so many things from this one store in my closet! Guess it’s my favorite g0–to place for work attire.

The top I’m wearing doesn’t get much wear out of it as my purple one does. I bought the purple ruffle top first and ended up absolutely in love with it (meaning wearing it maybe more than once a week!) so I bought the yellow, and white one! Gotta say, it’s pretty difficult to pair the white one with a pair of trousers or shorts because I’d end up looking like a waitress/server! So that barely gets any use. Hmpf.orange

Wow. I really need a hair cut. Colonix? Not so much needed. Fret not, I booked a hair appointment for July 31!~ Though it got me thinking, I want to go back to my orange/yellow/black/blonde hair days. See what I mean? It looked good, and I miss it!

Top: Dynamite [circa May 2009!]
Cardigan: Smart Set [bought a long time ago but rarely worn because I used to hate the color]
Capri’s: Dynamite maybe $35? [purchased two summers ago when I started working here]
Shoes: Brand name: Seychelle’s. Purchased in spring 2007 from Browns online store in Toronto, and have worn the heck out of them. I mean, look at the toes on them! What a disgrace :) I have yet to make another purchase from Browns. Guess it was a one time only thing. I really don’t like anything they have listed and even if I do like it, it’s like three hundred bucks for a pair of flip flops!

And now for some close ups! First, the capri/bermuda/shorts. Probably not the most flattering photo known to mankind, but what can you do. It was taken swiftly and with my blackberry. So there ya have it. Some minature triangle design with a black satin sash belt to boot. Lovely.

Shoes? I really shouldn’t be wearing these to work. They’re so worn out. They’re the most comfortable soft leather flats available. Decided I needed a backup second pair and ended up contacting the designer of Seychelle’s and asking if they had any in my size in Canada or the US. Unfotunately, I was a few months too late as they stopped making the shoe. Wah wah!
