We are a week into summer, and I’m all about this warm weather California is having. Now let’s jump into some fun colours that you can sport on your lips this summer. Here are my top three picks for some fun summer shades.
At least one of these three lipstick colours from Rituals will suit your skin tone. Tell me below which one you’d go for. They’re creamy, they don’t dry out your lips and they’re easy to apply with their sharp edged lipstick tip, it is almost like having a liner and lipstick in one.
Can you guess which one is my favourite?
Rituals lipsticks are hydrating on the lips yet they don’t slide around, separate or wear off weirdly. They have a bit of a sheen to it, with zero shimmer in the lipsticks, but they are not a matte consistency. I like that they don’t last all day long (they last a few hours). I’d happily reapply during the day than have my lips feel like a desert.
I posted this picture on Instagram last week, asking what people’s favourites were — a lot of people picked the middle shade, which is so beautiful but it wasn’t my favourite on my skintone/lips. I much preferred the left colour called Sunset Orange. I do love me a good red-orange shade, especially when I’m rocking a bit of self-tanner!
The packaging is a lot more luxe than I anticipated. The lipsticks are heavier, and have a ‘click’ noise when you close the lipstick. Guys, it’s the little things that I enjoy. I’m surprised that these aren’t sold at Sephora stores, because the quality is definitely there, and at $19 USD per lipstick it’s right on par with a lot of other brands at Sephora.
