Breaking plans to meet the parents

After 3½ years of boyfriend and I dating, I have officially met his parents and all of his two sisters (one, last summer and one tonight). I totally bailed on my climbing plans and left Kerry stranded at the climbing gym. waiting for me, precisely the exact same time supper was served. I really really need to make that up to her. But I was so afraid that boyfriend would totally not let me have another chance at meeting his parents. I always asked him “When will I meet them!” and his parents were the same way too, in fact. Huh. Anyway, so I went over to his place tonight and ate some mouth watering chicken parmigiana with them, and had a delicious chocolate mousse/cake/cheesecake for dessert. So, Kerry. I apologize to you right now. I failed to follow through with our plans. (I know she reads my website, so I’m posting it here instead of actually e-mailing her a private “I’m sorry” lol) That’s what ya gets! Hopefully I’ll get another chance to meet up with you before I head back to the ‘loo.

Before supper though, boyfriend and I were checking out stuff at Westgate, and then headed to the mall. I felt so … tall in the mall. I guess the ceilings at the malls I usually frequent in Ontario are much higher. Plus, the amount of people wearing Bench clothing totally made me never want to wear my Bench windbreaker EVER again. I guess that’s the “in” thing here in town right now. Every time we stepped onto the escalator or went into a store, at least two chicks were wearing the exact same Bench zip ups that were available at this one store lololol. Ahhhh I hate that. Living in a “small” (120,000 people isn’t exactly small. But small compared to what I’m used to – 600,000 people) city, I guess that’s what you get – rare selection of a few good things, and everyone wants it then.

Anyway. I’m totally just wasting time right now and waiting for a buddy of mine to call then i’m heading out again for teh night, visiting friends who I haven’t seen in over two years. WOAH.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

I miss you, climbing gym!

I really need to get back in shape. Well, parts of my body do anyway. I’m never wondering what my weight is, mainly because my weight has always stayed the same, for the last ten years. I’ve never hit 125lbs in my life and right now I’m sitting around 118 in the morning and nights. That’s cool and all, except for the flab on my belly that has decided to grow in the last two years of me living on my own. I’ve got pinner arms and a flabby tummy. Wah!

I think it’s because I primarily stopped climbing at the gym. I may very well make a New Years Resolution, even though I’m totally against them, because almost everyone always says “Oh my N.Y.R is to get fit!”. They always fail. Am I right?

Maybe I shouldn’t make the resolution then. I don’t want to fail.

But I miss the climbing gym back home. The one that I go to in Ontario is total horse manure. It’s small, and I can’t do heel hooks, and I can’t boulder. Well, really I can boulder, but it’s nothing on a negative wall. Just a boring vertical wall the size of a child’s bedroom. It’s smelly and crowded in there with a lot of emo looking guys with that ugly side swept hair. I HATE THAT. I went a handful of times back in July and August and met a few cool guys, but they were only there for the summer semester at the Uni. So I pretty much stopped going.

Climbing on my Christmas vacation brought back the love I had for climbing. I think I may force myself to purchase a 3 month pass to the local wall when I get back to Ontario, and then head on over, after work most evenings.

Whadda ya say!

So so so?

What’dya get? Huh Huh? What did you all get from Santa Claus!?  I got a nice few things plus some moniesss…but my favorite gift of all was a mocha colored Canon SD1100is camera that I totally wanted so bad! YES. Mmmm I can’t wait until my parents are over the brutal flu they have, and then we can have a lovely Christmas turkey dinner. My flight got cancelled as you saw in my last post, so my Boyfriend and I didn’t get home until December 26th at 2AM or so. Brutal. Christmas Day for us in Ontario was relaxing and we opened a gift from one another, and then ate pizza for supper lol. It was definitely a Christmas to remember.

Last night was my first night out of the house as I only got in the night before. It was so totally random. We went to eat at some new place down off George St, and headed to a bar to wait for some friends, went to the climbing gym to meet other friends and watch a movie for the junior climbing club fundraiser, then headed back downtown, ran into my brother’s friends, headed to another bar, ran into more old friends….saw Mark Critch from This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and shook his hand and told him he was awesome. I didn’t realize that he was tall as I am (about 5’6″ or so) and he’s got super soft hands lol. ANYWAY. So random. Love it.

Stockings are my favorite thing about Christmas mornings. I think my laptop totally needs … some kind of new computer part. lol. Maybe a new fan. It keeps going WILD. It’s not sounding right, and it’s not even a very old laptop, I got it for graduation in 2006.

OKay, gotta go get dressed as everyone wants to meet me at the climbing gym this afternoon!

I LOVE YOU CHRISTMAS!
