I love new things. Ignore the pinner arms.

Wow! That was fast shipping on the Ebay sellers part. My Timex Ironman watch came in the mail yesterday — I ordered it on May 27, and it was shipped out the next day. So with the American Memorial Day holiday it only took 2-3 business days! Isn’t that insane? Too bad there aren’t any more watches I’d like to order from him. But good customer service on his part has gained himself another buyer. My running buddy (hi!!!) is also getting one!

Yesterday morning I went to my third physio appointment, he had me doing some exercises and mentioned to me that my ankle seems to be doing well. I agreed and said it hasn’t hurt since I’ve been wearing the brace. I didn’t have to book another appointment! Wearing that crazy thick brace (will widen my poor cleats) will definitely help me play more stronger and harder. Hoorah! Apparently they’re setting up a massage/physio tent at the finish line of the 5k (and 10k) race that I’ll be doing later this month — so I’ll see my name twin (who used to play soccer with us) and my physiotherapist.

Two thumbs up for healthy bones.

I’ve been wearing my hair up for the past two days. Yesterday I didn’t bother to blow dry it when I was getting ready, it was looking pretty snazzy when I brushed it and put it up in a clip when I was getting ready. Today my hair was pretty flat after blow drying it and using my straightener, so up in a pony it went! It’s pretty rare that I wear it up to work. Since I started working in this position 3 years ago I think I wore it up a handful of times.

Knitted top: Anthropologie (50% off)
Cardigan: Old Navy (Nothing like pairing a nice expensive top with something from Old Navy! I love it though)
Bermuda shorts: Either Dynamite or Jacob. I forget, and I’m not about to check! :)
Shoes: Michael Kors flats

Listening to some beats

When I moved to Ontario, I left behind a great set of computer speakers. I never really gave it much thought, and stopped listening to music, since I didn’t have any nice speakers to listen to them with. I received some not so great one’s from dear mom, that were I suppose laptop speakers really.

A few weeks ago, I started seriously looking for some new ones (with a sub woofer, because those are pretty wicked), and at Future Shop I spotted a ridiculously beautiful (and sort of expensive) pair of speakers that kept playing Deadmau5. It was just meant to be. music.


Aren’t they lovely? A week or two went by, and we had planned another trip to Future Shop and I flocked towards the audio section once again and aww’ed at the sound.

Little did I know, when I was out getting my hair cut the other morning my Boyfriend was nowhere to be found when I returned! He wouldn’t tell me where he went either, when we were messaging back and forth on BB messenger.

Eventually he came back with a huge box in his hands. He picked up the speakers for me!!! It was kind of a big deal to me. I thought that was so sweet of him <3

I set them up all by myself too (hey, be proud — it was kinda difficult).

The sound coming out of these bad boys is glorious. I’m in love, and can’t stop listening to Deadmau5 over here.
