Curling Iron version 2

I did a review on a curling iron not too long ago, and also not having a clue what I was doing with my hair.

Since I’m addicted to watching makeup guru’s on YouTube like TiffanyD, conveniently enough she posted a video on how to curl your hair with the same size iron that I received in the mail.

This is the outcome of my crazy ‘do. Of course it could be better. I didn’t go out in public like this or anything. But it’s a start!! YAY!!! Don’t light a match around this head of hair. Soo much product :)

Isn’t it crazy how the first time I used this curling iron, my curls looked like this? What a difference!

I can’t wait for my hair to get a lot longer, so my curls doesn’t look like I have a ‘bob’ styled hair cut. Long lush locks is what I need!

Hey. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post – another giveaway is coming up and it involves one of my favorite stores. Hint hint.

What kind of blog reader are you?

When you read a blog, do you skim through the blog entry? Just look at photos? Or do you read every little thing they wrote?

I’m a little bit of all. Most times I’ll take the time and read what the blogger has posted. However, some days I don’t read everything that bloggers write about, and I like to view some interesting photos they have added into them and ignore the text altogether.

I’ll admit, it’s a bit of readers ADHD, isn’t it?

If I find myself regularly viewing the bloggers photos for weeks on end, it’s time that I tell myself to just delete that blog from my RSS feed and be done with it.

I read all my blogs through the Google RSS feed. A few websites are blocked when I visit them, therefore I almost always forget that I read them and wait until I get to a computer where they’re not blocked, so I can comment. If I really want to comment on an entry, I copy the URL of their post and write myself an e-mail so when I have access to another computer I can go in and post that comment on their site (so dedicated). I now know which ones are blocked and I don’t read those until later.

Do you always comment? Or are you not a commenter at all. Why or why not?

I’ll rarely comment on your blog if I have to login or enter a random jumble of characters to submit my comment. That’s a step further than I wanted to take, and readers like myself are lazy when it comes to commenting. On some blogs, I write a story book. On other blogs that are very popular with comments, I rarely comment — It’s mainly because the other commenter usually say the same things that I was about to comment on, and I never know if the blogger/author will get to read my comment entry because there are SO many comments on each and every entry they write. I guess I’m intimidated a bit :)  I often try to comment on blogs that are just starting out too — only if I love the blog enough to read them daily. I love receiving comments, and often I like being asked questions at the end of posts, which leaves me room to comment on a bunch of random things that this person chatted a bout in their entry.

Joe Fresh & fav shoes!

Today was so muggy, humid and rainy the whole day.

I didn’t want to venture outside, but I made the trip to the grocery store (the one that sells clothing — helloooo Joe Fresh!) and picked up a really great pair of black shorts for $14. They’re super flattering, and since I only have three pairs of shorts (not including “work” bermuda style) to wear outside of work, I decided I was in dire need of a new pair.

While I was at the grocery store I remembered that i needed to pick up some shoe polish. Man, those things have come a long way since the 80’s. My parents have this big wooden box full of shoe polish, and I honestly thought that polishing my scuffed pair of flats would take ages and some elbow grease to get shiny and new looking again.

Boy, was I wrong. There was a small but very diverse selection of Kiwi styled shoe polishes. It all seemed too easy. Where was the “gel” rub on type stuff that you had to apply with a cloth? All the new polishes have watery type shoe polish with a sponge tip applicator. So, I just went with it and bought the $4 bottle.

Not quite before and afters. Because I started buffing right away then decided to take photos. So the right shoe is “before” and I think you can tell which ones are the after shots. Right?

My shoes look TERRIFIC. Brand new, wouldn’t you say? I haven’t been wearing these to work much the past year, but now that I have a new “instant spit shine” (the bottles quote, not mine!) finish, I can wear these favorites of mine every single day, just like the day I bought it.
