Condos and Apartments vs. owning your Home

I live in a tri city area and the one city that I live in, just down the road from me on the main street has these absolutely beautiful luxury retirement communities. When I first came to the city to visit my Boyfriend before moving to Ontario, I always wanted to live there—it basically looks like a really fancy hotel, with a water fountain, nice landscaping with benches, bushes and flowers planted ever so perfectly. That was until I saw inside the windows where they all eat during breakfast/lunch and dinner – that the people inside were all seniors.

To be honest though, I kind of want to be in that sort of state of mind when I retire, or perhaps when I even buy my own house or a house that actually is a condo. I lived in one of those home-condo’s once. Basically it’s maintenance-free and you don’t have to shove, or mow the lawn. I have to say though, I am absolutely terrified of the lawn mower. I remember once my parents asked me to mow the lawn, and I did it once and I said I would never do it again. Kinda feared that my toes would be chopped off, or that I’d somehow slip underneath the tiny lawn mower and it’d roll over my leg. The things that go through one’s mind.

Right now we’re in an apartment building where we still don’t have to shovel out our cars in the winter—underground parking for us. I think that I’d like to eventually move into my own house though, and not worry about the proper condominum athesthtics that restrict you from decorating your place. My friend lives in one, where you’re only allowed to put white curtains in the windows.

What sort of place do you live in?

Misikko Hana Air

The hair care company Misikko based out Pennsylvania sent me this Hana Air hair dryer for me to try out and review. It’s always so fun opening up the packages from this company because whoever puts them together always goes for a little more effort and decorates everything so pretty. This time things were Easter/Spring purple, like the soft eye mask for sleeping, a satin bag with some nail files and even a black felt flat iron carrying case decorated in a big polk-a-dot bow.

Even a sample of Colgate Wisps were inside this care package as well! These will be great for on the go, you don’t even need water. My boyfriend already claimed that these will be his — ha ha.So the Hana air Professional hair dryer retails for $314, but it’s on sale for $194, I’m not exactly sure how long the sale is on for, but that’s a huge percentage off!

The warranty is two years on this hair dryer, so remember to keep all papers with your box in case anything ever happens. As most hair dryers this day and age, this one too is Ceramic heat with infared ionic heat—which basically means your hair won’t get frizzy when blow drying with this particular hair dryer.

There is such a large selection of hair products over at Misikko and almost always they have some sort of sale going on. They also have free shipping on this hair dryer too. The hair dryer was sent out in the same week that I received it, so that was pretty quick especially since I’m in Canada.

I also received the Hana Shine Shield thermal protectant which is a bottle of 6oz hair serum that you put in your damp or dry hair before you apply any heat whether it be blow drying, curling or flat ironing your hair.

The one photo below is grabbed from their website—I just wanted to show you the heat setting details on the hair dryer itself. So many different types of settings to achieve what you want in the hair dryer. High/Low heat, and High/Low cool air.

The hair dryer comes with an EXTRA long cord and has one of those clicker type of ALCI safety plug that goes with it.

Wet hair before, dry hair with Misikko‘s Hana Air hair dryer after!

Awesome hair dryer! Check them out.

I love technology

My Mom got a new computer and wanted to skype me since we haven’t really chatted on the phone much in the last few weeks. My little fella’s have the flu, but once Ancy Nancy got on the screen they brightened up and it totally made my week. We used skype to webcam each other. It’s kinda like megameeting web conferencing software but skype is free.

LOVE THESE GUYS.

Kelan, the oldest on the left was busy playing with the Russian Doll set to talk to me, lol. You know the wooden dolls that stack inside one another? Those! Psh.

I also wanted to share with you this link “Just how creepy is Creepy?“. I agree with people already knowing way too much about me/anyone else on the internet. Please just have a read at it.

Have a great day!
