How to make a rubber band ball

You know those not-so fancy rubber band balls that people sometimes have on their desks?

Well, I went to visit my co-worker at the other office (hi frand) and I noticed she had a full rubber band ball made out of mostly blue bands. How pretty looking! I asked her if she made it since it was kind of small. She certainly did.

Amy ended up giving me the rubber band ball because she wasn’t a fan of the blue rubber bands. What?! I know.

I was nearing the end of my blue ball (snicker snicker) and I decided to give Aimster a phone call. I mean, what happens when I run out? I want to know for myself how to recreate the rubber band ball for myself!

I left her a voice mail since she wasn’t at her desk. And instead of calling me back she ended up BBM’ing me step-by-step instructions with photographs to show me how to make your own rubber band ball. Hilarious, right? So I’m featuring Amy on my blog, and the rubber band ball tutorial. Please proceed :)

Step one: tie your rubber band in a knot.how to make a rubber band ball-001

Step two: Bundle your knot into itself and add another band on top, criss-crossing it.how to make a rubber band ball-002

Step three: Wrap part of the ball around your finger and add more rubber bands until it forms a ball shape. how to make a rubber band ball-003

Add a shiz ton more bands and you have this! My beautiful rubber band ball at work courtesy of Amy.my rubber band ballAnd now you have yourself your very own rubber band ball. Lucky you.

Anastasia Bold & Beautiful Kit

AnastasiYou can’t beat a good hair day, or face day. I love to dress up and make myself feel extra pretty for certain occasions. Since Valentine’s Day is long ver — which holiday do you look forward to, where you’ll head out with that boyfriend (or hey… girlfriend — not discriminating) for a nice evening out and look up to par? I suppose if you count St. Patricks Day coming up, but I don’t really go out on a date night with my boyfriend on that day. ha ha!

Anastasia has come out with another wonderful set of eye shadows and eyebrow kit, to help you all feel wonderful every day. Please welcome, the Bold & Beautiful Kit by Anastasia Soare. Bold-And-Beautiful-Kit

The palettes are enclosed in an intricate gold/black pattern which is the size of a wallet if I had to compare it to anything. You can see the size of it as the photo below shows me holding it.Bold-And-Beautiful-Kit--

They’re little booklets that look as if you could store them on your bookshelf and they’d blend right in with all your novels.Bold-And-Beautiful-Kit-Anas

How gorgeous. Sucker for packaging. Bold-And-Beautiful-Kit2These palettes would be great to carry around with you if you’re on the go and would like to touch up your eyebrows or shadow, it’s small enough so you can safely stow it away in your purse until you need it next. It’s so versatile, as you can wear these colors as an everyday neutral, or go for a completely opposite fun coral color that just packs a punch.

Swatches!Anastasia-Beautiful-Eyes-sw

Love that it comes with a real brush and spooly and a set of tweezers.  Below is Vol. 1 for Bold Brows which has a brow powder, pomade/wax, mini duo brush and mini tweezers. bold-brows

The eyeshadow quad comes with a double ended eye shadow brushes. One for packing on color, the other for blending. They’re pretty good too! That’s all I used on my eyes, and I didn’t have to resort to getting my MAC brushes out. Vol. 2 for Beautiful Eyes includes four matte and shimmering shadows in some perfect neutrals.

Volume-2-Beautiful-Eyes

I filled in my brows using the lighter color. I’m not used to filling them in, ever. So it was a bit of a shocker when I looked in the mirror. I think I may have went a little overboard. Hee hee. eye-makeup

The overall look I created:eye-up-close

You’ll notice that this palette contains mostly neutrals. I know some people aren’t a fan of so-called “boring” colors like these. But I personally would never go out and buy something with bold colors since I never wear them. I gravitate towards more easy to wear, easy to blend colors that suit my blue eyes. You can now pick up this duo Bold & Beautiful Kit at Sephora for $36.00 or on the Anastasia Soare website.

Volunteering on Saturday at the climbing gym for Tour de Bloc ten.

I volunteered from 3-9pm and got put with the finalists in isolation. It was pretty funny being in there with the 16 of them. I posted photos on Facebook, but maybe I’ll do a re-cap this week about it.

Nap time for the 16 finalists.
My duties were to make sure they didn’t peek out at the final boulder problems, and walking them to the bathroom and also not peeking at the routes.

Bouldering at the climbing gym

IMG_6132This is just a recycled photo from last Tour de Bloc. Thought I’d include it, lol

I spent 2 hours at the climbing gym just bouldering the problems that were in the comp from the day before. I didn’t feel too sore, or too out of the loop, regardless of how many months I’ve been off climbing. Good to be back.

Look at the mess of my pants! Chalk everywhere. bouldering pants

Time to take a stainless steel hose to these pants to get them cleaned up for this weeks CrossFit and climbing sessions, since I activated my free month membership at the climbing gym. Hooyea.
