Dior Blush Cheek Sticks

Dior Blush Cream StickDior Blush Cheek Sticks: Cosmopolite Fall 2015 collection.

Ahh, breath a sigh of relief — finally Dior has come out with a cream (to powder) blush product called the Dior Blush Cheek Stick! Ya know I love my creamy dewy skin.

Talk about being an ultra-pigmented, powdery cream texture. You honestly need the smallest amount of product when applying to the cheeks, because for the first two times I tried these out, I had clown-cheeks, the colour was seriously intense. Applying directly to the cheeks you don’t need to use a swiping motion, a simple dab will truly do you fine, unless you want a highly pigmented blush that day. You do you girl. I also like applying a cream blush with my ring finger, but with this new Dior Blush stick, I have found I prefer using a buffing brush to achieve a more simple, but fresh look to the cheeks.

Dior Cosmopolite Cheek StickIt has a velvety powder finish, it’s not too creamy and it stays longer on the skin. So it blends into the skin easily.

All shown in order, above. My only wish for the Blush Cheek Sticks is that it didn’t go to a powder finish. Although, so natural looking I love how certain cream blushes add a bit of shine to the cheek bones (looking at you, NYX cream blush!).

Video: What’s In My Purse?

Whats-in-purseWatching YouTube videos is definitely a fun past time for me, especially when one’s where people show what is inside of their everyday purse. You can find all sorts of good ideas (you know, like consolidating your small items into pouches, that sort of thing). So I thought it was due time for me to film one, because the last one went live over 3 years ago.

Here’s a sneak peek before getting into the video.purse-holdMy purse is actually a hand-me-down from my Mom’s friend! So I gladly took it off her hands, and have been using it since April.

Purse-imgInside I use my Stephanie Johnson brown pouch* to collect all my mini’s which includes a yummy smelling Tokyo milk hand cream*, expensive mints from REI, tissues. You know, stuff that you kinda like to have in the purse at all times.

My Milkshake, San Jose

My-MilkshakeOh man.

MyMilkshake-SanJoseA milkshake bar. In downtown San Jose. A plethora of milkshakes to choose from.

Milkshake-counterTons of candy on the wall. I AM IN DREAMLAND.

Although, not the perfect milkshake I’ve ever had, it was still a really cool experience to completely customize your own milkshake however you wish.

View-outside-windowMy Milkshake in San Jose is a new business which opened in January, and has the most trendy decor and friendliest staff. Luckily I brought my Canadian friend (who is living down here in California too) with me, to try it out during mid-week in the middle of the day. The staff working there says it has line ups all the way down the street after work is out, or on the weekends. So we lucked out that way, with no line.

My-Milkshake-San-JoseTheir milkshakes are all named after superheroes: SuperMMan, BatMMan (the double M stands for My Milkshake). I decided on ordering the SpiderMMan which had kit kat and fererrro rocher chocoaltes in it. It was pretty tasty, and definitely tasted like a ferrero rocher chocolate. You can pick your milks (almond, regular) and your ice cream (soy, regular and yogurt).

Note that the location of My Milkshake is in downtown San Jose, so if you find a spot outside their building they can validate your parking for you when you buy something from My Milkshake, or you’ll have to find a parking garage or metered parking (free after 6 P.M.). But definitely give this place a visit if you’re a milkshake lover, who loves customizing their drinks!
