Got me a party while I’m at it too!

WELL! If it couldn’t get any better than this. My parents were feeling kinda lame since we’re all about Christmas, but they came down with bronchitis and couldn’t do a thing. Nobody has visited us, except for the equally sick neighbors. I’ve seen most of the people I wanted to see, except for JOHANNA—NEED TO SEE YOU. I think I’ll get together with her on Sunday. Anyway … my mom was telling me that I should invite some of my relatives over, so I can see them before I take off again next week. So last night I told my Mom that I wanted to see my Aunt, a few family friends and like 2 other people and I called those people and invited them. However, my Mom kept listing off people that I forgot about lol…and The List started growing and growing, and now we’ve got about 25 people coming to see me before I head back to Ontario. Gonna be a great night, and we’re definitely going to have to whip out the tv furniture that’s in the den and put it all in the living room where the fireplace and Christmas tree is. OH BUDDY. I love that my parents love to entertain.

Unfortunately for my Aunt, she wanted so bad to see my boyfriend (she too doesn’t believe that he exists, because she’s never met him.) Though, he left the province already and is back in Ontario.

Oooh, I also got some pretty wicked deals at the mall last night. Both of these Nine West purses. They’re just… gorgeous. The big one was a retail price of $115, Labels had it on for $79. The store had a 50% off sale, I showed my SPC card and got an extra 10% off. I paid $32.00 for that big one. Now, the little one? Oh, what a deal I got. Retail price: $45, Labels had it marked as $29, with a 50% off sale and my SPC card again… $13.50! HOOOOLY. I got such an amazing deal, I mean they’re Nine West! lol

Photos were taken with my new Canon SD 1100 (in mocccchhhaa)

Have a great saturday night! I know I will, with my Dad’s homemade wine … OWW!

Got me Christmas dinner

Sooo today is the beginning of a brand new year. I finally got my Christmas dinner cooked for me! hehe. My parents actually came down with a case of bronchitis, and I knew I wasn’t going to catch it come hell or high water. For the first couple of days that I was here, I wasn’t in the house until it was bed time.Luckily I haven’t caught anything, yet.

New Years Eve was spent with boyfriend, his parents and sister and then we went to a buddy’s house after we watched the fireworks. Since it was boyfriend’s last day of vacation on January 1st, my Mom invited him over for dinner and ate some of her long awaited turkey, and roast beef, and of course salt beef b’y. Can’t have a dinner without that. Even though I don’t like it. lol. Anyway, we ate along with the neighbours and they finally met him, and no he is not a figment of my imagination! :) haha.

Guess I’m kind of a private person in the relationship part  and since I don’t live in the same province as everyone I grew up with, it was hard to introduce him to people. Soooo we had a grand ol’ feed and then I dropped him home to pack. Came home, did some facebooking and then my Mom called out to me that Peepers (the dog), had just barfed up in multiple places in the TV room. The ONLY place in the bloody house that has carpet. Of course, right?  I didn’t mind doing it,  doesn’t turn my stomach as much as it made my Mom sick lol….anyway I guess I’ll stop talking about vomit.  So later on I have to either stay up, or wake up and drive back to my boy’s house to pick him up and bring him to the airport. Such a short trip for him, I’m so glad I’m not leaving yet. Doesn’t even feel like I’ve been here for as long as I have. I think I’ll head to bed soon, I don’t think I can stay up until 5AM, SOBER…lol to drive him anywhere.

So I wanted to say HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! xoxo I’m sure I’ll be back to frequent blogging when I return to the mainland!

Breaking plans to meet the parents

After 3½ years of boyfriend and I dating, I have officially met his parents and all of his two sisters (one, last summer and one tonight). I totally bailed on my climbing plans and left Kerry stranded at the climbing gym. waiting for me, precisely the exact same time supper was served. I really really need to make that up to her. But I was so afraid that boyfriend would totally not let me have another chance at meeting his parents. I always asked him “When will I meet them!” and his parents were the same way too, in fact. Huh. Anyway, so I went over to his place tonight and ate some mouth watering chicken parmigiana with them, and had a delicious chocolate mousse/cake/cheesecake for dessert. So, Kerry. I apologize to you right now. I failed to follow through with our plans. (I know she reads my website, so I’m posting it here instead of actually e-mailing her a private “I’m sorry” lol) That’s what ya gets! Hopefully I’ll get another chance to meet up with you before I head back to the ‘loo.

Before supper though, boyfriend and I were checking out stuff at Westgate, and then headed to the mall. I felt so … tall in the mall. I guess the ceilings at the malls I usually frequent in Ontario are much higher. Plus, the amount of people wearing Bench clothing totally made me never want to wear my Bench windbreaker EVER again. I guess that’s the “in” thing here in town right now. Every time we stepped onto the escalator or went into a store, at least two chicks were wearing the exact same Bench zip ups that were available at this one store lololol. Ahhhh I hate that. Living in a “small” (120,000 people isn’t exactly small. But small compared to what I’m used to – 600,000 people) city, I guess that’s what you get – rare selection of a few good things, and everyone wants it then.

Anyway. I’m totally just wasting time right now and waiting for a buddy of mine to call then i’m heading out again for teh night, visiting friends who I haven’t seen in over two years. WOAH.

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
