Yet another unexpected hiatus

Well, I take it back – said I was going to be updating the ol’ blog on the regular back in January. But guess what? I went on a fantastic weekend getaway – a Mother’s retreat. I’ll get more into that later because I really want to post about it. Long story short, I brought my portable pump with me to keep up my milk supply (yay motif luna!), low and behold I carted the milk back safely. HOWEVER – I grabbed some ice from the restaurant to store in the cooler before heading back home and the dude who filled up my ziplocks with ice I guess didn’t seal it all correctly (and I didn’t bother to double check) the ice melted just enough on the 2-3 hour journey home and seeped into my backpack where my laptop was. Soaked it. Like I dipped my laptop into the ocean. It was horrible and what made matters worse is that I dried it off quickly with a towel and turned on the darn tootin’ laptop (it worked!) but airing it out thereafter it never turned on again. I had that laptop since 2016! It worked so well for me, and then for the last few months I was out a machine to type on.

Hence…the long few month break. I’ll get back into the swing of things. I probably shouldn’t type that out for fear of jinxing it once more. See you all again soon. For now, I’m still active on Instagram!

Frederick Creighton Park: The Perfect Spot for Family Fun in Milpitas

Last weekend I took my 3 boys to see a good friend of mine (hi Jessica!) that I honestly haven’t seen in years (unfortunately Motherhood will do that to ya I guess..). We hung out with her crew for a few hours and then towards the way back home we popped by another playground that I found on google maps.

Frederick Creighton Park in Milpitas is such a gem for families! It’s a fantastic spot for kids to run wild, especially with its fenced-in playground that gives me peace of mind. The play structures are well-maintained and offer a variety of fun for different age groups, making it a great place for little adventurers. It’s also spacious enough for kids to burn off all that endless energy!

Now, about the bathroom… let’s just say it’s not the park’s strong suit. It’s small, bare-bones, and honestly gives off major “jail cell” vibes—not exactly the experience you’d hope for during a fun day out. So, if you’re heading there, I’d recommend coming prepared or planning a quick trip to a nearby restroom if needed.

Overall, though, it’s a solid spot for a family outing (just cross your fingers you don’t need the restroom).

With my middle boy officially signed up for TK this fall, a whole new chapter is beginning, and I can’t wait to bring you all along for the journey.
