PinkBlush Cozy Maternity cardigan OOTD

Holy flippin’ cow I just realized there’s only 2 weeks and a few days until I’m out of the second trimester (meaning honeymoon phase of being pregnant, meaning tons of energy and feeling somewhat great overall) is over. That means…it’s back to square one: fatigued, low energy, more acid reflux and little sleep during the night. I felt my energy droop down last week and I had Scott look into when the 3rd trimester starts….week 27. Oof! Almost there. Knew it!

Here I’m wearing another PinkBlush Maternity sweater (gifted) that is totally just like a regular cardigan. It’s super soft and drapes perfectly over the shoulders. It’s in one of my favourite colours: rust, and I’ve gotten two compliments on it already, one being from my Mom lol.

If you want to shop for it on PinkBlush website search for the: rust chenille soft knit dolman cardigan 👌🏻. It comes in 3 colours & I’m wearing a size small. Thanks to PinkBlush for sending it over to me.

Exploring California redwoods

Took bebs out to the redwoods to have lunch late last week. Always feels so good to be surrounded by nature like this and get away from the urban lifestyle…not that there’s much of that going on with covid/shelter in place. It’s much quieter here, more calm. Sometimes the most simple moments are the best ones. Bebs had a great time exploring here and I’m definitely bringing him back here soon…if not this week, then next. It wasn’t crowded, but by the end of it I started to get a bit uncomfortable with two Mother’s and their billion children racing around us that I ended up just leaving the area to find somewhere else to explore.

I mean just look at that light beaming through the redwoods. I went mid-day pretty much, so imagine what golden hour would look like here. Freakin’ unbelievable.

I brought our UPPAbaby MINU stroller for bebs, but really didn’t need it. In fact, next time I think I’ll skip on bringing it, you know – to tire him out more for a nap when we get home, ha!

This wee baby in my belly is some kicker b’ys…doesn’t stop! I wonder what that means lol. I don’t recall feeling bebs kick this often, this early on.

I’m wearing the Elise Sweater by Oriane (gifted) in a size small. It’s a small women-owned mother and daughter team based in Minnesota. It’s maternity/nursing friendly and beyond. It comes in three great neutral colours and it’s $36. They also sell the most adorable and affordable baby clothes…take a look.

Bebs pretty much has free reign when he’s out exploring with me. I always let him choose which way to go, and I think he really enjoys that bit of freedom. I said just above but I LOVE this area…we are totally going back soon.

OOTD: 20wks with a runaway toddler

Up and at’em at 6am this morning. I’ve been dyin’ to make another cherry cheesecake and in order to have it same day I need everything at room temp before starting it, cooking it in the oven, cooling it til room temp in the oven, then refrigerating it until it’s icy icy cold and yummy….so we’ll be having it after supper.

Are you sick of the bump pics yet? This is probably my last pregnancy so I want to take as many photos as possible to remember it. I’d love more children but I don’t want to be a hundred and two when they graduate high school. So, there ya have it.

I got my husband to shoot these ones, swipe to see my face after I thought bebs was about to run away from us lol. IG vs. reality I spose.

There’s only a few short months of us together 1-on-1 time any time we want (until new baby gets here). That’s why we’re headed out so often each week to explore new locations, spend quality time with one another…and of course throw and catch his ball. He loves it, pure joy that kid. I can only imagine the change it’s going to bring..wild. Two kids! I still can’t get over I’m a parent of even one! lol

Last night it was actually chilly for once, and I wore this Pink Blush Maternity “sweater” again on our late night walk before we put bebs down to bed. It’s not at all thick, and perfect for a California evening.

We go on walks constantly, and of course explore in the forest with my little one…not much else to do these days really…is there. Going to Google some new spots for us to explore and visit this week.
