Flawless skin with Burberry

Burberry-GRWM1-41| Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation in Honey You can tell from the photo above how much is left in the bottle. I’ve been testing, reviewing, and wearing this foundation since I first received it. That’s rare for me! I usually like to switch up my foundation daily to give others a fair go. But I’ve been reaching for this since it has the perfect amount of coverage and satin-like finish without looking overly done up.

2| Burberry Cashmere Concealer in Honey I purchased my first Burberry Cashmere concealer last year (in the lightest shade Porcelain), and this is my second shade to play around with. I’m a huge fan of a light and creamy concealer (think: Cle de Peau, my go-to). The Burberry Cashmere concealer is excellent to use under the eyes because it doesn’t slip around, and it brightens without it sinking into lines. I tend to apply my concealer after my foundation so I have that extra brightening effect. And, as always, I blend it in with my ring finger.

3| Burberry Effortless Eyebrow Definer in Sepia Another product I purchased sometime last year. I have a few favourite eyebrow pencils, and this one is always in my makeup bag. It’s probably the colour that suits me the most out of all my eyebrow pencils.

4| Burberry Fresh Glow Highlighting Pen in Nude Radiance I’m not usually a highlighter-wearer, but this was fun to pop onto the highs of the cheekbones for an extra glow when the light catches on it.

Burberry-GRWM5-85| Burberry Eye Colour Contour in Pale Copper What a gorgeous shade, and incredibly creamy and easy to blend out with either an eyeshadow brush or what I did – my ring finger. This shade in particular is so complimentary to my blue eyes.

6| Burberry Cat Lashes mascara in Jet Black If I’m going to be completely honest, this isn’t a mascara I’d go back to unfortunately. Luckily, it doesn’t clump but it doesn’t have as much volume and length that I’d like. Then again I guess I don’t need the volume and length since my eyelashes are incredibly long naturally. But when I wear mascara, I want it to look like I have eyelash extensions on, or something to that effect. I like dramatic eyes.

7| 100% Pure Cocoa Pigmented Bronzer in Cocoa Glow warming up my complexion with bronzer. I swept this in a 3 and E shape along the sides of my temples, under the cheekbones and just under the jaw line. I also love popping it onto the nose and center of my forehead.

8| Burberry Lip Velvet in Rosewood This lipstick shade has a hint of raspberry, and it’s so comfortable to wear! It’s also a matte forumla so it’s going to

Burberry Cashmere Concealer

Burberry-closed-concealerBurberry Cashmere Concealer is a new addition to the Burberry’s makeup range as of early 2016, so I knew I wanted to pick it up when the April Sephora sale was happening. I knew I wanted something brightening under the eyes and a bit more pink/salmon toned to correct any darkness. I opted for the No. 1 in Porcelain which is a fair colour with a bit of a pink undertone to it.

A lot of creamy concealers don’t seem to work on me, although I love the consistency of them they seem to slide around and disappear from the under eye area. The Burberry Cashmere Concealer stays put with or without setting powder (I like the Hourglass Ambient powder in Dim Light) for around 4-6 hours without needing touch-ups.

What I mean by a touch-up is to fix any creasing it may cause around my undereyes. Nothing a bit of patting from freshly washed hands can’t fix.

The sponge applicator hasn’t gotten clogged up, and I assume it won’t at this point, considering I’ve been using it for 3 months!

Burberry-concealerIt’s definitely my second favourite concealer these days! As you know, I also really enjoy my Cle de Peau concealer stick, too.

Applying-BurberryClick the wand up a couple of times to disperse product into the sponge, then dab along your under eye. I like to do a triangle under the eyes to not only conceal any darkness but also give a lot of light to the eye area.

applying-concealerI always prefer to blend in my concealer with my finger. It blends naturally and seamlessly with the warmth of my finger tips.

before-and-afterBefore and after using the Burberry Cashmere Concealer in No. 01 Porcelain. The lighting is a bit off (I was taking these photos in the early morning so the lighting changed a bit as I was applying my product!).

Beauty Buys I’m Loving Right Now

Dior abricot nail cream

Dior-ApricotMy cuticles are the only reason I like to go to the nail salon. They always seem to peel, crack or look nasty. The first time I used this product, is when the new Dior free standing store opened up in my local mall. When I opened the product in store, I was all ‘Eww, weird‘. But then the sales associate sucked me in and suggested that I only apply this at night to let it sink in. It’s not sticky, but more in between a grimey feeling (gosh I’m describing it terribly) and semi-sticky. But you wake up with hydrated cuticles for the full-day! Even throughout washing your hands. Unheard of around my dry scaly hands (I’ve been told by a guy once I have lizard-hands). A must-buy! [Dior Abricot Nail Cream]

Lancôme Juicy Shaker

A hydrating product and perfecting timing with their release right before summer hits. If you’re looking for more colour to your lips, I’d suggest the deeper tones of Juicy Shakers as they’re not as pigmented as one may think. But they do nourish the lips and act like a balm to the lips, leaving it with a glossy finish turned into a stain. The product itself will only last about an hour or two on, so be sure to cart it along in your purse and reapply throughout the day. [Lancôme Juicy Shaker]

Philosophy Whipped Body Cream

Amazing-GraceThis will come as no surprise, as any time I talk about anything beauty related Philosophy plays a major part in the role of my skincare regimen. On my birthday Mr. Spiffykerms took me to Ulta (so we could buy more sunscreen!) and he picked me up another tub of my favourite whipped body butter. It has the most soft delicate scent to it, and reminds me of my wedding day (although, I wore the Living Grace scent on my wedding day). But still! [philosophy amazing grace]

HABIT Nail polish

Habit-Polish-on-nailsEither my nails are painted a nude/white shade, or they’re jet black/darkest as dark can be. This one is a super dark shade of brown. I spotted the Habit brand of polishes first at Lou + Grey in Santana Row. [Habit Nail polish*]

AHAVA hand cream

AhavaI had been using AHAVA hand creams when I lived in Canada, and I went through tubes and tubes of them at work. I even got a couple of my old co-workers hooked on the one original scent. I never did look into buying any more once moving to California, but luckily I’m re-stocked up now as the brand sent some more scents to try out. They’re just as fantastic as the original (also shown). They don’t leave your hands greasy feeling at all, and they seem to last throughout 1 handwash which, hey, is rare! Lovin’ it. [Ahava hand cream*]

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine

YSL-LipsticksI’m all about the lip products that feel hydrating on the lips and I don’t mind reapplying. Like the Burberry Kisses lipstick I reviewed, this has been getting a lot of use and is constantly in my purse, ready for reapplying. Plus, look at that packaging. Unreal. The rouge volupte shine shade I’ve been rocking lately is in the colour 09 Nude in Private. [YSL Rouge Volupte Shine]

Burberry Cashmere Concealer

Burberry-concealerI purchased this during the Sephora sale back in April and have been using it quite a bit. Due to the porcelain shade I purchased, it has this gorgeous brightening effect on my under eye area and it doesn’t crease throughout the day. [Burberry Cashmere Concealer]

Burberry Eyebrow Definer

Burberry-eyebrow-definerDon’t get me wrong, I still love my Hourglass Arch Brow + Dior Universal Brow combo on my eyebrows, but having one solid product is better than two getting the same job done! See my review on it here which includes before/after photos. It’s great! [Burberry Eyebrow Definer]

Tom Ford Bronzer

Tom-Ford-bronzerLate night Sephora shopping kills me. But it all paid off, because I am loving this gorgeous Tom Ford bronzer in 02 Terra. Luckily it’s in between a cool-toned contour shade, and a nice warm bronze shade to warm up the skin. I apply this to the outer areas of my face (okay, basically everywhere since I love looking tan!) and down the nose too for a little sunkissed look. [Tom Ford Bronzer]

Dare you tell me your recent buys and subconsciously persuade me into buying some of your new favourite items? Hehe!
