Awaiting the warmth

Take me down to the paradise city, where the grass is green and the … guys are hotties. Oh my GOSH, I cannot wait for no socks, no closed toe shoes, but rather bare feet, warm grass and flip flop weather. I want this bikini. I very well may buy it. I cannot wait until my vacation (surprise! I booked a flight somewhere — more details in another post. Oh the suspense will utterly kill you).

I have this delicious smelling candle I got from the Bombay company like … I dunno, 4 years ago or more. I rarely light it because I don’t want it to get all used up. For some reason, I cannot stop smelling it today. I can’t find it online either. Perhaps because they stopped making it? I DID buy it a long time ago. Mmmm Mango soy candle. Smells like oranges, but … a lot richer. The description says “a blend of Tangerine, Sweet Pea and Musk”. Musk? Uhh. Anyway I have no idea when I got it. And I’m totally out of matches, sooo I’m out of luck!

You’ve got mail

Dude, I’m such a freak.

I absolutely love getting mail, whether it be junk mail addressed in my name, or a little ‘thinking of you’ note from a close friend. Occasionally, if I feel that I haven’t gotten adequate mail in the last little while, I start to actually miss it. (What a weirdo!).

There is a MAC counter not even a ten minute bus ride from my place. But, sometimes I go onto the MAC cosmetics website and order an eye liner, or something small just to receive it in the mail and when it comes to my desk at work I’m like “ooooooh what’s this?”. Now I don’t go purchasing things I don’t need. Only when I run out. So this is almost a rare ordeal, when it happens. But I really like getting mail delivered to me! I feel all happy inside. I want flowers delivered to me. My birthday is in May, by the way ;) Wouldn’t it be an absolutely perfect gift to receive an envelope from someone you know, and once you open it – it’s a free travel voucher for a trip down to the Anaheim California hotel? I nearly booked a trip a few weeks ago to see Jess.

Is there anything weird that you do?

What I did this weekend.

  • Stayed at Boyfriends place, all weekend.
  • Applied for a PC Mastercard, so I could get free groceries.
  • Watched countless PVR taped shows of What Not To Wear (and FFWD the commercials).
  • Contemplated doing my taxes. But didn’t.
  • Felt sick all day Sunday, but played our last game of soccer for the Sunday night league. (Until playoffs which is 5 more games, starting next week)
  • Slept a lot. A lot.
  • Thought about going to visit my parents friends who flew to Toronto for a conference. I would have stayed at the beautiful and very luxurious Royal York Hotel (The place to stay). But since it’s No Buy Month, I opted out for fear of spending money. Plus! I’d have to spend $25 to catch the bus there. THAT’S spending.
  • Played on my room mate’s Wii. SOOOOO fun, but I still suck.
  • Went to a movie with my room mate and her friend on Saturday (before the No Buy Month)
  • Took off my chipped, unsuccessful find of pink/white/sheer nail polish, and applied it again lightly. lol.
Exciting, no? I still feel like ick. My stomach is going wonky.
