Mary Poppins returns

Mary Poppins Returns
Mary Poppins (Emily Blunt) returns to the Banks home after many years and uses her magical skills to help the now grown up Michael and Jane rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives in MARY POPPINS RETURNS, directed by Rob Marshall.

Well have I got some supercalifragilisticexpialidocious news for you! Take that spoonful of sugar to help the medicine go down, and get ready for it because Mary Poppin’s is returning to theaters.

Being on the Disney PR list is exciting, mainly for the fact I get a heads up when the newest releases are coming out, and this one in particular brings me right back to being a child. Disney’s 1964 film MARY POPPINS is making a comeback, and it’s going to star Golden Globe® winner Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins. It’ll also be starring Colin Firth and Meryl Streep.

The film, which introduces three new Banks children, played by Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and newcomer Joel Dawson, also features Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury (who remembers her from the 80s show, ‘Murder She Wrote’? I used to watch that all the time with my Dad!).

The film is set in 1930s depression-era London (the time period of the original novels) and is drawn from the wealth of material in PL Travers’ additional seven books. In the story, Michael and Jane are now grown up, with Michael, his three children and their housekeeper, Ellen, living on Cherry Tree Lane.

After Michael suffers a personal loss, the enigmatic nanny Mary Poppins re-enters the lives of the Banks family, and, along with the optimistic street lamplighter Jack, uses her unique magical skills to help the family rediscover the joy and wonder missing in their lives. Mary Poppins also introduces the children to a new assortment of colorful and whimsical characters, including her eccentric cousin, Topsy (Streep).

MARY POPPINS RETURNS will be released in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2018!

Upgraded to luxury for a week

2017 Volvo S90 T6A taste of Swedish luxury for a week, with the 2017 Volvo S90 T6 AWD Inscription. So I’m just going to roll with it — or rather, I did roll with it for the week (ha! get it… car… wheels… rollin’)!!

Some days I laugh too hard at my own jokes. What can I say, I’m easy to please and when it’s luxury I get giddy. Volvos makes me giddy apparently. As a matter of fact, it made Alfie giddy too. It’s been pouring non-stop since before Christmas here in California, making it go from a severe drought to devastating floods, so I haven’t been gallivanting around with Alfie taking him on adventures because neither of us wants to give him endless baths because it’s so mucky and muddy out.

Why you should implement Honey into your Beauty Routine

Pure Vitality by KiehlsEveryone wants their skin to flourish and look radiant, right? That’s when Kiehl’s new cream comes into play.

Kiehl’s recently launched a Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream, and I gotta say, it’s the bee’s knees (c’mon, I had to). It has a mix of manuka honey and red ginseng root. Two ingredients never combined before in skincare, which both help encourage cell turnover (new skin here we come). Something you want in a skincare product to keep looking young! Implementing honey into your beauty routine will benefit you as it has antibacterial and moisturizing properties. However, that doesn’t mean you should reach for your honey pot in the kitchen cabinet. Obviously there’s different types of honey and it does matter which type you use on your skin; raw and unfiltered, mainly. Manuka is your best bet as I stated above, it contains the most antibacterial properties. Since the weather has decided to be confusing around this time of year, undecided whether or not to be chilly winter, or warm spring, makes your skin confused. Give it a bit of love, and use a product that is probably the most beneficial for your skin — a two-in-one. One that is super moisturizing, and also adds skincare benefits (like those cell turnover benefits we talked about above, hey… hey?).

We can’t stop the aging process, so without focusing on that, why not try and make your skin look as healthy as it possibly can?

In fact, if you have any skin troubles like eczema or acne, honey heals them, as well as minor wounds.

Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream is a thicker cream which absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving a residue or sticky feeling — a little goes a long way which is great because it’s a bit pricey. It felt like a hydrating moisturizer, allowing my skin to look radiant and healthy. I need to combat my dry skin due to the winter months, so I’m always reaching for hydrating products. This sweet little honey pot has earned its spot in my beauty cabinet this winter!
