Yvonne Estelle’s $50 Giveaway!

Back in November I held a $50 gift card giveaway to an online store called Yvonne Estelle’s. I happily obliged to host another giveaway for the stylish online shop. As per last time this giveaway is unfortunately only available to my US readers.  So, one lucky US resident will be eligible to win a $50 gift card from them!

The first things I always scope out on home interior decorating sites like this one is almost always the bedding section.  I am always on the lookout for new linens and fabric designs for each season. This spring they have some really clean fresh designs like this one that I spotted on their page:

Doesn’t the blue design on the bed just shout classy? Pair that with these (yellow) pillows shown below, and you’ve got yourself a nice new bedding set and ready for Spring!\

Yvonne Estelle’s online store is such a large store, so I could definitely spend plenty of hours browsing through their new throws, adorable kitchen towels, or even a soap collection to browse through!

I think my next favorite item would have to be this Designers Guild Lansburg throw for $199, nice purples and fushias – a bright and bold look for Spring. It snowed here last week so this would be perfect for those cold, rainy days of spring. Or snow-days, you know.

A lot of their linens are really high quality pieces, which usually mean they are a bit on the pricier side. But they also have a section online for Gifts Under $50 where you can shop for cute aprons, stone baskets for fruit or even some scented votivo candles.

So, how can you win this $50 gift card?

You must read and complete the contest rules in order for your entry to count.

Wordless Wednesday | Random Fact

Kickin it old school with the photos. Here are some photos of me back in College, it was a birthday celebration for me at Jungle Jim’s. I think in 2005?

Random fact: I miss climbing, a lot. But CrossFit definitely makes up for it. You get the same type of “zoning out” feel as you’re doing your Workout Of the Day with CrossFit, as you do with climbing. You hear/see no one when you’re “in the zone” as we used to say when I climbed, lol.

Psst. Come back later today for a giveaway!

Being the keener that I am

Well isn’t that just annoying.

I signed up for a Scene Visa (via Scotia Bank) over the phone a few weeks ago. Last weekend I went into a local branch to sign some papers. I’ve used it once already just to get my bonus points being 4 free movies.

I’m not usually one to wait for my paper statement to come in to see how much I owe on a CreditCard, I like knowing in advance how much I owe. Being the keener that I am, I went to Scotia OnLine (who spells online like that? Oh wait, they do) Financial Services site. Couldn’t enter my visa number online as I didn’t have an online password. I called their toll free number and tried entering it through there. In a frustrated state of mind I pressed the number zero an infinite number of times, because that always works to get a human… right? Let’s hope “this called pressed the #0 sixteen times” doesn’t appear on their screen so they already know I’m an impatient person.

Whatever.

I kindly told them my issue. Their response was that I didn’t have any other accounts with Scotia Bank therefor I cannot view my Visa statement like I can with “CIBC” (I don’t deal with CIBC, they just said that as I suppose CIBC let’s you do it that way). I mean, c’mon. I canceled my TD Visa to go with Scotia Bank and they don’t have something that I can view online to see how much I owe? How lame is that? I’ve already set up my bill payment through my bank, so I can physically pay them online. Just not view how much. WASTE OF PAPER! lol.

I tell ya. If I didn’t already cancel my TD Visa, I would’ve taken those four free movie passes and used them up. Canceled the credit card and go back to TD.

What a stupid stupid setup.

Oh p.s: don’t forget to pop by here tomorrow. I have a giveaway coming up – it may or may not include some cute peacock alley bedding.
