What’s on my Christmas Wish-List?

For the past number of years I didn’t have a Christmas wish-list. But now that money is tight, I haven’t been shopping as frequently as I usually would. I could say that’s a blessing in disguise, wouldn’t you? Having said that, I have been lusting after a number of things this year and this is what’s really on my Christmas wish list!

Lululemon Wunder Under Roll Down (cotton only!): I have been wearing my green Lululemon Wunder Under cotton roll down’s since I bought them as a birthday gift to myself back in May. I’d love another pair in either Black or Earth.
Elizabeth Grant Moisturizing Stick: I keep this by my bedside and apply that or Dior CrÃ¨me de Rose at night. I have a nubbin’ left of my Elizabeth Grant, which I received in a beauty subscription box a few years ago. It is so buttery smooth!
Victoria’s Secret bras: I’m in need of some. I bought a few from their Pink line, and also from Target, but they don’t hold up as well as their regular line of bras. The one’s I purchased while at West Edmonton Mall in 2009/2010 still look brand new!
Starbucks gift card: While I do like to explore and find hidden gems of coffee shops, I can’t help but enjoy a peppermint white mocha every now and then.
King sized bed (img source): For the past 9 years, The Guy and I have been sleeping on a double sized bed. It’s time to upgrade! This will happen eventually, probably not until well after Christmas.
Jo Malone perfume: Each time I pop into Nordstrom, I get a sample of Nectarine Blossom & Honey orÂ Peony & Blush Suede. Both are beautiful on the skin and last the entire day. Unheard of!
Nike sneakers: I have had my hot pink nike’s since 2010, and while they’re pretty fantastic, the soles are not the same as they used to be. I have a few other pairs of running shoes, but Nike’s will always be my favourite.

Oh Alfie, he’s such a funny little guy.

Each night before we go to bed, Alfie is allowed up on our bed before we say lights out and he has to spend the night in his crate which is a few feet away. Anytime I head upstairs to get anything, he races up after me, begging to be put on top of the bed. I guess he likes his comforts.

Here’s a few silly photos of him from two nights ago when I heard him snorting and scratching at the bed while I was brushing my teeth. He was building a nest for himself!

Just in time for our visitors!

I was invited to a Holiday Entertaining Event with Chexâ„¢ Party Mix and DIY Expert, Brit Morin. It was yesterday morning and I received the utmost royal treatment as they arranged for a limo to pick me up, and drive me both ways to MakeShop which is located in ‘The City‘ as Californian’s like to call San Francisco.

MakeShop is a fun little spot owned by Brit + Co., where you can make things, and buy things. There are laser printers, 3D printers, and supplies to make jewellery and other fun creative things. It’s a great spot!

First I’m going to talk about the sweet ride, then jump into the blogger event.

I have never felt so fancy.

I documented it all.

My driver told me it was a fully loaded 2015 (3 weeks old) Cadillac SUV. Sure felt fully-loaded with all the gadgets I had to play with, while getting chauffeured.

It’s been pouring this entire week, which is what California desperately needs. So the drive up was a little foggy and wet, but I spotted a rainbow! A rare treat, in California.

As a creative individual (I’m a Graphic Designer and I love to paint!) I had a blast hanging out with all the bloggers, making Chex Mix. Which I mean, helloÂ â€” just in time for our visitors! My parents-in-law will be arriving later this afternoon, my sister-in-law the day tomorrow, and this is only the beginning of our December visitors. I’m super excited to entertain!

We learned how to prepare easy-to-make deliciousÂ Chexâ„¢ Party Mix recipes. I know Muddy Buddies are popular, but my favourite type of mix we made was the peppermint. SO GOOD. We also decorated tins to put the Chex Mix in.

I’m not entirely sure Chex is available in Canada, so this was all new to me. Well, I love you now Chex.

It’s starting to look a lot like Christmas!
