OOTD 22 weeks pregnant

I’m currently 24wks pregnant, photos were from a few weeks ago.

I’m not one to complain, but let me elaborate once I say it. The worst part about pregnancy for me is sleeping and eating 😭😂.

Elaborating: the acid reflux that keeps me awake at night and uncomfortable. It started later on with bebs. But with this pregnancy I’m only half way through. Give me all the tums.

Secondly. The food. More specifically my tongue. I get so sensitive to everything. Things burn my tongue and my tongue gets raw and so so sooooo sore to the point where I can finish some meals. It’s not all acidic stuff either like you’d think. Apples, strawberries cause it. But I can eat all the oranges. I made homemade fudgesicles and boyyyyy I tried to finish one and just had to put it back in the freezer 😭..and if that wasn’t bad enough, I get geographic tongue which doesn’t cause pain but is gross to look at.

Look at how proud bebs look after he climbed up that staircase, and is waving at Mama!!
Go ahead, complain about a few things to me in the comments lol. Whether pregnancy related or not! Being preg during summer is no joke. I’ve never been so overheated in my entire life. This photo was taken when it was cooler out…but I seriously cannot wait for sweater weather to arrive so I can wear this one in particular way more often. I tend to pop this on in the mornings since I get up at 6am everyday lately (and it’s obviously chillier then).

And, not to complain but to compliment…oh my good golly this Marnie Turtleneck Sweater from Shop Oriane (gifted to me) is absolutely so fantastically cozy. The mornings and evenings here where I am in California are finally starting to cool down and allow me to wear some comfortable long sleeved tops. This one is a maternity brand, but as you can see you can totally rock it when not pregnant either, since it’s not ruched at the sides or have a specific “spot” for your growing belly. I LOVE it.

WHAT I’M WEARING:

Marnie Turtleneck Sweater
H&M maternity leggings (and in other pics: non-maternity Zara jeans)
Lucky Brand loafers

GIVEAWAY! With Bump and Bae

GIVEAWAY! I’m really excited to be working with a Canadian boutique located in Ottawa, Ontario Canada 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Bump and Bae offers a curated collection for maternity and mama-friendly. The tank top I’m wearing has hidden zips on either side for nursing. You’d be none the wiser, I bet if I didn’t even tell yas! This tank doesn’t have ruching at the sides so you don’t have to be pregnant, or even a mama to buy/wear this. I’m definitely not giving this one away after my pregnancy/ nursing time is up! It’s such a good basic.

And these jeans? They’re from Bump and Bae too. They’re ankle grazers and fit great. I love both pieces, they both have washed up well (I always wash in cold and hang most of my clothes to dry anyway, always the safest bet) and they look super stylish and fit incredibly well. For reference I’m wearing a medium in both the top and bottom.

GIVEAWAY:
1. Like this photo on Instagram
2. Follow me @spiffykerms on Instagram
3. Follow @bumpandbae on Instagram
4. Tag a friend on that Instagram photo in “rule No. 1” (one tag per comment so you’ll get more entries 😂🙌🏻)

Winner will recieve a Bump and Bae hospital bundle-the mini.

Giveaway is open to anyone in Canada and the USA. Closes on Friday August 7 2020 (9pm PST). This giveaway is Not sponsored, nor endorsed, administrated by, nor associated with Instagram. Prize will be fulfilled by @bumpandbae

Bebs is a big brother!

Bebs is going to have an adventure buddy for life!

Our family has been growing for 20 weeks, and I’m excited to announce we’re expecting baby # 2 due late November. Already growing well and measuring ahead (another big baby!). We’ve found out the gender of our baby quite early on – but wondering if you have any guesses as to what we’ll be having? I’ve been dying to share this new with you all for so many months. Being pregnant with bebs I announced it at 18 weeks.

At my last OBGyn appointment the other week, I questioned my Dr as to why I hadn’t been having so many appointments with this pregnancy as I did with bebs. He told me “well, for a non-dramatic person, you certainly had a lot of drama with your last pregnancy, didn’t you?” – even though he only saw me from 37 weeks on, since I switched OBgyns/Insurance at the last possible minute and it was the best decision of my life (although a little stressful, trying to get in with that “fave doc” of mine). It all worked out! Well, who knew – I mean, I kinda knew there was some high risk stuff going on with bebs but seeing as it was my first pregnancy I had no idea what was “normal” and what wasn’t with regarding seeing so many Docs. Ha! Consider my naive.

Routine OB appointments have been strange of course, as I’ve been going alone. Scott hasn’t been allowed to join me in the doctors offices for these joyful moments of seeing baby on the ultrasound screens or hearing the heartbeat. Hanging out in the waiting room with other women, trying to smize with your eyes to be friendly with everyone quietly sitting in the waiting room while we all wear face masks and remain 6+ft apart to promote safety and to meet COVID guidelines.

Now I need another Instagram handle to come up with (see @minikerms here), heehee!!

Hooray the news is out! The end!
