Perfect pink

It’s been months later, but I think I finally found an adorable shade of white/pink nail polish. I know I posted my previous perfect pink shade back in February, but that required a butt load of coats and the quality seemed poor. Of course knowing me, I’ll never be pleased and will always be on the lookout for a better shade. But as of right now I feel content with this polish.

I haven’t bought Essie polish before, but while I was coming home from work on Tuesday I decided I wanted an emery board to file my nails that keep cracking off (!!!! Obviously really annoying). While I was wandering around the store, I noticed the Essie polishes were on sale for four bucks off.

I’m a tester before I’m a buyer. So, of course before purchasing this at the drug store I need to open all the polishes and apply one swatch on my nail to see if I’m going to fork my money over for it. I know that places that sell OPI will not allow you and if they catch you they’ll ask you not to. Which I didn’t know, at first. OOPS.

Let’s get on with it shall we? Enough of this jibber jabber.

pink

Above, is a shot without the flash and I think it looks so perfect. It looks great in the photo doesn’t it? I wish it looked that almost cream white pink on my nails but I think that I’m being over analytical and it’s more pink on my nails, unfortch.corn

And this … I had a snack before supper last night. Ontario corn on the cob is great on it’s own, I mean I didn’t need to put salt/pepper/butter or a stitch of seasoning on these corn! They’re just as sweet on their own, straight out of the boiling water. The pink polish looks like this on my hands. The purpose of the corn shot was to show my nails with the flash of the camera, but anytime I took a photo of my nails straight on, the flash blinded my hand and made me look ghostly.

So yea. I’m still on the hunt for my favorite shade. I’ll never be satisfied! But I think this will do, for now.

It’s Friday? I can’t relax yet, tomorrow morning we’re moving everything from my apartment to my boyfriends, 300 meters away: my computer desk, my double sized bed, my ikea coffee table that I LOVE but scratches easily, a cheap particle board book case that I can’t dear to part with and lastly my favorite night stand (also from Ikea) that looks so miniature, but it’s super adorbs. (Ugh, can’t find a photo online!) Even though I said I already moved last weekend. The big stuff isn’t gone yet.

REST TIME needs to come sooner :P

Malted Milk

chocolate-keyboardLet’s switch back to the 80’s here for a moment. Think about your favorite chocolate bar as a child. Does anyone here remember those malted milk chocolate bars?

I was eating a 3 musketeer’s bar at work when my buddy/co–worker (who is my Mom’s age lol) came in and eyed what I was eating.  He asked what it was and I told him the name of the chocolate bar, and he then said “Oh yea, like a malted milk bar?”

I then shouted “YES! Why did they stop making those?”

I’m not such a huge fan of the 3 musketeer’s bar, as I was a huge fan of the MALTED MILK! Why did they even stop making this bar? I remember as a kid it was one of my many favorite chocolate bars to choose from and now when I get the urge to have that bar, I grab a 3 musketeers and I am thoroughly disappointed once again, as it’s not the same recipe or ingredients as my childhood favorite. 3 musketeers is almost sickening after you’re finished three quarters of the bar.

We reminisced for about 3 minutes, and both agreed it should come back into stores.

I can’t even find an image on it, on google to show you all the deliciousness that it used to be!

Google image search has failed me once again:

  • Malted milk
  • Malted milk bar
  • Malted milk chocolate
  • malted milk chocolate bar
  • malted milk wrapper
  • malted milk white wrapper

Tell me, who remembers and misses this bar as much as I do? Mmmm.

Ebay genius

After packing up my apartment I thought to myself, instead of giving my articles of clothing to good will — I should have sold them on ebay! I never got involved with ebay before and I decided to just randomly sign up a few days ago, and search for a few of my favorite things like the Lululemon brand. I’m a huge fan of this store and I’ve got headbands, pants, sweaters and even hair elastics from the store. But what I found on ebay was something incredibly odd and I will explain why in a moment.

When I went to purchase my hair ties from the Lululemon store in Toronto, they came in a 6 pack for maybe $10? I’m not sure because I bought them forever ago — but on ebay this one girl is selling her ONE hair tie and it’s up to four bucks already. Like holy cow, are you serious? People are willing to buy these hair ties for four bucks a pop? They don’t even fit in everyone’s hair properly, because I gave one to my soccer team mate during the winter and her hair is thicker than mine and it busted on her.

Maybe I should start selling some things that I don’t use/want. I wonder if people would actually buy them?
