Burberry Kisses Lips (swatches)

Burberry-Kisses-lips

3 Burberry Kisses Hydrating lip colours, and 3 Burberry Kisses Moisture Shine lip colours — each and every one of them (that I have) are easy to wear, comfortable on, and hydrating on those winter-lips of yours. The lip colours aren’t long lasting on your lips, but I do have to say, after wearing a vibrant matte lip out to my husband’s Christmas party last weekend and having it wear off in weird patches, I think I’d rather a product that fades off beautifully and effortless to reapply without walking in those steep high heels of mine to find a mirror in a restroom to reapply.

The hydrating lip colours were more glossier on the lips than the moisture shine, but both formulas were equally as nice to wear in their soft neutral everyday wearable shades. Both formulas feel lightweight, and applies so silky smooth to the lips. However I’m sure you can find other brands that feel the same on the lips. But you have to admit, Burberry’s packaging on their lipsticks are so fun with the Burberry plaid silver squared tube that snaps magnetically together. Pure luxury! Oh I seek the joy out of the simplest things. I think that’s a good trait, don’t you?

Balsam Hill Event

Balsam-Hill-headerI probably sound like a broken record at this point. But I keep repeating it to prepare myself. At first, I wanted to cancel Christmas, but when would I start celebrating it again? Christmas is my favourite time of year. FAVOURITE. And my Dad isn’t around this year to celebrate it. A year of firsts without him. Tough but it’s gotta be done.

Ya can’t dwell on sadness b’ys.

And I’m in the mood for Christmas! Gimmie a spiked eggnog and blast those Christmas tunes so I can rock around the Christmas tree.

In November Lauren invited me as her +1 to a Balsam Hill Insiders Showcase event in Burlingame where we decorated large 26″ artificial Christmas wreathes. You know we’re going to have a good time when the two of us are stoked for an event. Neither ended up winning the wreath making contest. But we did come away with door prizes and a goodie bag at the end of the night, which was so unexpected and absolutely phenomenal! I won a huge stand-up white Christmas bear with a little bow tie, that’s actually hanging out in our front porch right now. And inside the goodie bag was a coupon for Balsam Hill along with delicate and so intricate glass ornaments for our Christmas tree. Lauren-Nancy

It was my first time at Balsam Hill and was it ever gorgeous inside, and behind the scenes of the showroom there’s a Christmas Tree + Ornament Lane. Why can’t it be Christmas season for longer? It really does bring me tons of joy with the warm glow of Christmas twinkly lights. Christmas-at-Balsam-Hill

Oh, and it was a contest! And definitely super fun with tons of laughs and memories. I hadn’t decorated a wreath before. To be honest wasn’t entirely sure what I was doing, but many handed me compliments and praises of what I had created. It was a nice feeling :) Serious faces hard at work. Christmas-wreath-making

Here’s my finished product hung up on the wall with care (for profesh pics!). I wasn’t sure what type of look I was going for, but I knew immediately as soon as I saw the velvet ribbon it had to be the star of my wreath. I just went with whatever worked, and for the most part I think it worked out well, don’t you? I mean… I think it’s really well done. Just patting myself on the ol’ back here!Nancys-wreath

If you’re not subscribed to my YouTube channel you might’ve missed what video I posted right after the event (watch it here!).

Huge thanks to Balsam Hill for allowing me to be Laurens +1 to the event! Hope to attend again next year :)

Burberry ‘My Burberry’ fragrance

My Burberry eau de parfumBurberry My Burberry| $72
1 oz/ 30 mL Eau de Parfum Spray

My Burberry fragrance by Burberry was inspired by the iconic Burberry trench coat and its British heritage. One of the fanciest perfumes I’ve ever owned. Burberry! A scent that lingers on me all day long, that smells soft and fresh but also has this elegance touch to it. It has gotten me a few compliments from people when I wore it, which always makes me feel great. It’s difficult for me to find a perfume that works for me. I find a lot of the one’s I’ve tried either give me a painful headache, or the scent doesn’t last long on me. I’m lucky that the My Burberry scent doesn’t have that ‘in your face’ type of feel to it. It’s subtle and classic, kinda like how I like to wear my makeup, too.

Sephora described it as: My Burberry captures the fragrance of a London garden after the rain. The scent is a contemporary British grand floral and features a delicate heart of rose woven with an unexpected touch of geranium leaf. Notes| Sweet Pea, Bergamot, Geranium, Golden Quince, Freesia, Patchouli, Rain-Tipped Damask and Centifolia Roses. Style| Effortless. Personal. Timeless.

Have you tried it? It’s definitely Christmas-gift worthy.
