I came across the I love doodle website and fell in love. I want all of these images on tee-shirts! He even has a daily tumblr account. Check out his site, super talented.
Downtown St John’s
Where the streets are steep and windy and the houses are bold and colorful.
This is where I am from. This is home.
Downtown St. John’s. (Yes, the houses really are that colorful)!
Shark boy isn’t a figment of my imagination
The stereotype of a dumb blonde definitely telepaths through brunettes from time-to-time. Especially me.
My calendar that is hanging on the wall at work has an image of a shark on it for the month of March.
Apparently my co-worker really likes sharks and wants to go diving with them some day. I mentioned I didn’t like whales because they’re big. They’re bigger than sharks, right? I asked. Yes, they are for those that didn’t know like me.
I told her the reason why I didn’t like whales. I said to her “You see, I had this book as a child where this kid was going on an adventure and he gets swallowed by a shark and he ends up living in the belly.†I said it so nonchalantly. She burst out into laughter and said: You mean Pinocchio? OMG hugest dumb blonde brunette moment ever. Because honestly, I don’t remember if I dreamed about it, or if it really was a book because I haven’t thought about it for years, but I think that’s why I’m semi-afraid of whales/sharks/snakes. I don’t want to get SWALLOWED by one! But of course she clearly knew exactly what I was talking about.
I couldn’t catch my breath, and my eyes were watering from how hard we were both laughing. Finally she said “anyone of our generation would know EXACTLY what you were talking about with the boy swallowed by the shark.â€
Ohhh I get it. So shark boy really isn’t a figment of my imagination. Hahaha.
Ever have one of those days?
