Pilot crisis averted

I’m a stationary fanatic, and when I find an item that I love, I rarely use it for fear of “wearing it out” such as the Pilot G2 0.5m pen lol. DON’T LAUGH, I know some of you are just as crazy as I am about pens and other writing utensils. Trust me on this.

I ended up writing the Pilot pen company back in October about my favorite pen asking where they now sold it as I couldn’t find my favorite pen anymore, to buy a backup!!! CRISIS!

Here is my e-mail that I sent to them:

Hi there!

I’ve been rarely using my favorite pen: Pilot G2 (0.5mm) for a few years, for fear of it running out of ink. I picked up this pen from a store that sold them individually. Little did i know that it became my favorite one to use, because of how fine the tip is.

I’ve tried to purchase a back up for when I run out but I have been out of luck trying to find one whether it be a new pen or a refill. I can easily find the 0.7mm tips but I don’t want to purchase those.

I’m currently located in Waterloo, Ontario Canada and searched online at Staples Business Depot and have gone to various other office stationary supply stores only to not find the pen.

I haven’t been able to find them online either on your pilot website. Did Pilot stop making this sized pen? If you could direct me in the right direction I’d be thrilled! I clearly love this pen and am on the hunt until I find my backup. I can then use it everyday. Awesome.

Thanks for your time!

Ugh. Those people do not sell singles to a person who just wants one or two pens for a back up. I’m not looking for hundreds. So I stopped, and only used my pen like once a month, literally. I’m crazy, I know. But it’s my favoriteeee pen.  It’s super incredibly fine pointed and I can print like no other.

See? I mean, a regular pen can’t make me write like that. I only use this for writing on envelopes now, or special occasions.

I thought all hope was lost.

That is, until I was at a loss for what to search for next, on Ebay to buy. Since I’m a new user and all, it’s gotten terribly addicting. I searched for my Pilot G2 (0.5mm) and found a seller in HONG KONG and I purchased a package of 6 in the first few weeks of March.

The package of 6 pens arrived on March 31 just 12 business days to get to me from Hong Kong! I’m going to covet these pens with everything I’ve got. Nobody is allowed to ever use them. lol.

Who knew people like that existed? Pilot doesn’t sell the pens, but then there’s an Ebay seller, in Hong Kong no less, who sells them. It’s an incredible place, ebay.

They are all now, sitting pretty on my desk at work — replacing my second favorite (Uniball 207).

Lululemon Run:Swiftly Tech SS

swiftly-purpleI loved it so much I bought it in three different colors! Call me crazy, but when I find something that works I buy multiples. No sense regretting not purchasing a fabulous item, right? Yes, it may not have been on sale and somewhat expensive but I take great care of my clothes — mainly the athletic stuff though as it gets washed on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag, and never put in the dryer. Plus, with all the paid blogging that I do I can afford to splurge on something nice for myself once in a while.

If I don’t end up wearing them all (since they still have tags on them) I can sell them on ebay! Plus these swifty tech tee’s don’t have to be worn just for working out — I can wear them with regular shorts for the summer and they’d be perfect with wicking the sweat away from the summer’s hot hot sun. Oh summer, I know you’re just around the corner!

I’m usually a 4 in Lululemon gear, but I ended up purchasing these tops in a size 6. I don’t know if Lululemon is true to size, really. In regular stores I’m a small. In Lululemon terms I’m an extra small. But since I bought the 6, am I now considered a small? Maybe it’s supposed to fit tighter, but I don’t think I’d like that. I have no idea what the sizes are all about. Let’s just say I’m between both!? :) I guess that’s how tuxedos fit too. Every store is different with their sizing. Inconsistent!

The top is amazingly soft to the touch but if you have dry skin you’ll hate to touch this as it sticks to your fingers (doesn’t that just sound nasty?). I swear, it’s not. I bet this would snag very easily, so no hang-nails/broken nails when you’re putting this shirt on! So be careful. When it’s on your body it feels like second skin, it’s so amazing. A review I read on the website  a woman didn’t seem to like the top as much and mentioned that the shirt rides up when you’re going for a run, or even exercising at the gym. For the most part, the reviews are 100% pure awesome on this top. I did not find that it rode up. Which is why I ended up purchasing more. I find that items that are a big hit, usually disappear off the website fairly quickly which is probably why I pounced on picking up two more colors after purchasing the “bold blue” (which is really purple) shade.

The quotes found on the inside bottom of the tee adds a nice touch, too.

treadmill“Life is too short for the treadmill” — it has lots of inspirational quotes going all over the bottom inside band!

It was a good buy.

Happy St. Paddy’s Day B’ysssss!!

Did you know, that I’ve been to Ireland twice? 2005 and 2007 to visit my Brother and his Irish fam-jam. I have four Irish nephews that are all so terrific and they’re in the process of moving to fantastic Canada. Ireland is expensive to live in, you know. Hard times. Being away from my brother and even my parents sometimes gets me down. But living away for four years, you get used to it. With a visit back home one or two per year does me some good. I tell you, when my brother makes that move over with his children I’m going to book the next flight out of Toronto and jet down to see them for a nice long week. Maybe bring them all prezzie’s too, because that’s what awesome aunt’s do.

I have no recent pictures of them all because my brother’s a bit slack in that department. I have no idea what my two year old little buddy looks like! Here’s a picture from August though lol. Isn’t my SIL super pretty?

summer09I can’t wait to show you how much green I’m wearing. Maybe I’ll post it tonight/tomorrow though as it’s on the BFs camera.

So! I made my first sale on Ebay and mailed it out successfully yesterday. How exciting it was, seeing everyone “watch” my auction with zero bids until the last day, and then vava voom the prices rose. I can see how people can make such a profit on things. I can wait for things to go on sale over at Lululemon and re-sell them on ebay for higher. That’s not truly like me to do that, however. But it could be a good idea if I were stuck for cash.

See ya later all!
