Sportin’ my first February 2012 outfit of the work week. Hope everyone had a great week. I find that lately Tuesday’s are really hard to get through and I don’t know why. It’s almost like I don’t feel like doing anything. It’s been going on like that for now two Tuesdays in a row, haha.

Also! Stay tuned for tomorrow as I’m going to be doing a giveaway for something from the Erin Condren store—her site is super great and keeps an organized person happy. I need to pick up one of the personalized journals on there. Anyway, I won’t get into it too much, as you’ll see tomorrow morning. Be sure to come back! Back again for the third time today. Third time’s a charm right? Unless it’s a bad situation like having to go through bulging disc surgery. That doesn’t seem like any fun.

Glymm box unveiling. Hey, they don’t have candy in their boxes anymore! What a disappointment. I ended up tweeting them asking them why. Apparently the glass jars broke in the mail. Mine never did. Send’em on over to me! I love jelly bellys.

 I have a ton of new videos lined up to film this week. I’m thinking of doing a haul video on some clothing items I bought, as well as my well.ca haul, and maybe if my Luxe Box Loose Button comes in today, I’ll film that tonight!

I’m on the hunt for a new wallet.

I don’t carry much cash on me, but when I do there isn’t much room for it because the wallet I”m currently using isn’t really a wallet. I guess it’s like a coin purse. I purchased it online (I forget where) and it’s a Juicy Couture brand.

While I do still love the wallet, I just need a change right now. Plus, it’s looking a little rough around the edges. Literally. Zipper on the first pocket is ripped off and sitting inside the pocket.

Here are some of my recent favs, but not omg must-haves. Know what I mean? None of them really stick out to me. But I thought I’d show you what I’m looking at, ha! Until then, I will wait til one sticks out. Just like my blue one did two years ago.

What are everyone’s plans for this wonderful late January evening? I was thinking of going to CrossFit but I also have to help a friend look for Occupational Health & Safety Technician Jobs. I think I’ll end up doing both though.

It’s been a while since my friend Tanya did an OOTWW collaboration on my blog. Her and I have a very similar sense of style. I’m often more envious of the ways she puts together her outfits. My favorite is definitely Monday’s. I’m still trying to master the skirt/tights/boot look. Whenever I do it, it just looks out of place. I want that skirt. I also wanted to let you know since I was concerned the first three days. She does have multiple pairs of those artizia tights :) ha!

Tia Star is one of Canada’s first online clothing stores in Canada. She launched her site back in 2009 and her clothes are made to be comfortable, great quality at an appropriate price.  Tia e-mailed me not too long ago and asked me for a quote for her Look Book. I ended up thinking of the quote below, as there aren’t any rules for fashion. Make your own! :)

I’ve been featured the Look Book and it’s now available online on her website. Check out the great images, and style of clothing she’s been advertising on her site. Amazing stuff. I love the images that I’ve shown below. I think the blazer in the middle picture is my absolute favorite and the red jacket is calling my name.

How I Style… a purple cardigan! The one above was purchased from Anthropologie in early 2011. I was eying it in Alberta at the West Edmonton Mall, but it was priced at something like $118 for this thin material! I ended up finding it on sale for a fraction of the cost, months later. So I picked that baby up immediately.I obviously don’t know how to wear it any other way but the same way I’ve worn it. Whoops! How did I not notice that??

I know I’m not styling the Anthropologie any different than the previous one shown, I haven’t really tried my best to style this. I kinda like it the way I’ve been wearing it. Plus it’s really tight in the sleeves so I can only wear short sleeved with it.

The other plum cardigan shown (in the bottom photos) was a Christmas gift from my boss in 2010. I love it!

Time to go research wireless booster. I still don’t have my desktop computer at home up at running. Super slow laptop’s where it’s at.

First day back to work in 2012. Oh, it’s always so hard to come back to reality, isn’t it?

Well it’s a new year so I have a new topic. How I Style… blazers. I’ve styled my cardigans for seven weeks now, so I thought I’d switch it up and show you how I’ve worn my inexpensive blazers for work.

This will be a short little post as I feel very corporate and businesslike workin the red blazer. I haven’t found an ideal way to dress it down just yet. But this is the way I’ve been styling it for the time being.This blazer was originally over $100 at Mexx. I never noticed it until it was on the sale rack for $40. It’s made of a really thick wool and there were a few other colors to choose from like grey and black. I’m somewhat kicking myself for not picking up the grey one. But from what you see below, I clearly don’t wear it often enough. I really dislike the middle look. I look like a middle-aged boss lady. Ew. My favorite has to be the one on the left, just paired everything all simple-like with black, and making the blazer pop on its own.

See Thursday? I cannot stand dress pants on me. I’ve even tried to get them tailored to make the leg more slimmer. It just turns out terribly. I haven’t found a pair of dress pants I enjoy wearing and I don’t know why I keep them around. It’d be put to much better use to donate it. But remembering how much they cost, plus the cost of tailoring discourages me from simply giving them away. I just think there’s a better way to dress that is more flattering for my body shape. Clearly dress pants aren’t the way. It adds too much bulk to my frame and makes me look 25lbs heavier than I really am. Pooie. Anyway, at least I’m loving the rest of the week. Yay!

I’m going on my second week of not picking out my clothes on a Sunday night, to get it ready for the work week. Gasp. I know.

All last week I found myself wearing a lot of brown.

This week, I was thinking of outfits in my head the night before the work day. On Wednesday I thought it was so going to work. I loved the idea. Boots, tights, and a skirt. But I don’t think it worked out in my favor. I think the boots just don’t suit Wednesdays look. I need to think of an idea as to how I can wear these amazing target boots, with knee high socks, a skirt and make it look good with what I have in my closet. This will be a project for me ;)

Well at least I’m shopping my closet and saving myself money. Saving for a house and getting a brand new home (with mortgage life insurance) is a better decision right now than spending it frivolously on clothes. So, some days my outfits won’t go together! Lol

Grey is one of my favorite colors for sweaters. But I also find it difficult to pair up with clothing. For example, I clearly found my favorite “go to” look in the second row with the ruffly white top, dress pants and J Crew cardigan. Once I like something, I stick to it! Ha. I also like the look of belting the longer cardigans. Which way would you style your grey cardigan? Any suggestions? Perhaps more color needs to be brought out.
