Essie Bridal 2017 Gel Couture Swatches & Review

Essie Gel Couture Bridal 2017 Berry in LoveThe first Essie Gel Couture Bridal Collection is a collaboration with bridal designer Monique Lhuillier, and it launches April 18, 2017.

Essie Gel Couture Bridal 2017My signature nail colour has been known to be white shellac for a number of years. Occasionally I’ll change it up and go for a bold shade every now and then, but truthfully I prefer muted soft tones on my nails. When I do my nails at home I reach for one of my large collection of soft pinks.

Essie Gel Couture Bridal 2017I’ll be honest, it’s been a long time since I tried Essie nail polish, and I’m not sure why! They have an excellent shade range, and now adding to that, these gorgeous six-shade Bridal 2017 polishes. Essie’s Gel Couture is a bit different than their regular line of polishes. The Gel Couture is a no light gel nail polish for your at home gel, and with that you’ll receive a gel-like manicure in an easy 2-step system when you apply their topcoat.

    1. @Tiffani at Breton Bay: I don’t know if it’s just this line of Essie (I haven’t used Essie polish in a while, I admit) but these haven’t chipped once in the three days I’ve had it on. And again, I’m new to their line especially this one (it’s called Gel Couture) so maybe that has something to do with it. I do love me some shellac too, I almost ALWAYS have shellac on – and always in white :)

  1. I was really impressed with the Essie gel series when they were first released! They really do last a long time for a drugstore nail polish! I haven’t tried any of these colors but I love the way “blush-worthy” looks!

    1. @Rachel: Yeah I am SO clumsy when I apply my polish, and even an hour later (with other polishes) if I hit my hand/nail off something (which is 100% likely haha) there’s always a chip or dent immediately. I’m seriously impressed with these (and it’s not a sponsored post at all, though the products were sent… I’m genuinely lovin’ it!)
