Stay away, I’m sick

I think I like this font a lot better than the Georgia one. This one is so much easier to read, without a serif on it. I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it this way.

I forgot how terrible a flu/cold can be. Yesterday I woke up with a sore throat, and now this morning my nose is stuffy, and I’m coughing a lot. I’ve been told to stay away from my Dad. Can’t get him sick! Our family hasn’t had a cold or cough in probably two years, since my Dad first got sick! Record time. Anyway, Dad and I went out last night to buy me some Vicks throat drops, sommmmeeee good. They’re not doing me very good, since I don’t have a sore throat now, but I’ll save them. Hehee.

I’m working hard to get everything finished for next Friday. Which is why I haven’t updated in a week! I also heard back from another employer, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make the interview, since it’s farther than I want to be – north of Toronto I think? I want to be South West.

Supposedly when you have the flu, you should drink plenty of fluids. However we have nothing in our fridge that is good! I just had 3/4 of a glass of Tropicana OJ, and all that’s left is milk and pop. :( Maybe tomorrow we’ll get groceries.

Yesterday, I went to the gym at 9PM, trying to see if sweating out my flu would do any good. I hopped on the treadmill and started to run. There was an empty treadmill to my right, and next to that was another woman running about the same speed as I was [7MPH]. Some white haired 50+ man came & jumped onto that very empty treadmill. I guess it’s because he knew the woman, they were talking and stuff. I got soo distracted, and couldn’t zone out and just run with my music staring at the TV in front of me. I tried running faster, and longer than the man who was next to me. This wouldn’t be a problem, if I had the cardio room to myself, like I had on Saturday, where I ran THREE MILES. But, it just wouldn’t happen. I was running at a speed of 8.0, and I nearly died – I can’t believe it, because I used to run a 7:20 minute mile, and that speed was 8, 8.5, and 9. :( I guess the excitement had me overwhelmed and I couldn’t keep up. So I’m not telling you how far I ran yesterday. I just ran my regular mile, and jumped off. :P he hehe Interesting life I have.

I think I’m going to go back to bed. But first I have to dry my hair. Know what sucks? Waking up, getting a shower – and THEN checking on the school’s forum that we have set up only to find out that my teachers are still in Nova Scotia with the National Skills Competition. Ahhh, so frustrating. Okay, g’marnin.
